Gerard Piqué's Teammate Played A Role In Shakira Breakup!

As the saying goes, “It takes two to tango.”

But in Shakira and Gerard Piqué’s, there may have been three, four or five tangoing.

The FC Barcelona defender and Colombian-native called it quits earlier this year.

Spanish news outlet, El Periodico, reports that Gerard Piqué was caught doing the horizontal mambo with another woman.

If the innuendos aren’t making sense, Shakira caught her footballer partner sleeping with someone other than her.

According to the outlet, "The singer has caught him with another and they are going to separate."

Piqué’s wild partying also played a part in the demise of their relationship.

According to new reports, one of Piqué’s teammates contributed to his and Shakira’s breakup.

The FC Barcelona’s former teammate, Riqui Puig, was the person who introduced Piqué to his now-girlfriend, Clara Chia Martí.

Puig’s girlfriend was Gemma Iglesias and she was a friend of Clara’s. Gemma introduced Puig to Clara during a night out.

Puig was also Piqué’s right-hand man for wild nights out according to Marca.

"Piquehas a best friend. Clara was dating the brother of that friend of Pique. Since they met, he had a crush on the girl. They exchanged phone numbers, at first they met secretly,” paparazzi Jordi Martin said. "Then he not only takes the girlfriend away from his best friend's brother, but also fires him from Kosmos, and hires the girl."

Once Shakira confirmed her partner’s infidelity, through the help of detectives, the singer was able to prove Piqué was having an affair before June 4th.

All of this led to the deterioration of their years-long relationship.

The couple is still engulfed in a nasty custody battle for their two minor children, Sasha and Milan.

The fútbol star reportedly introduced his new girlfriend to his kids.

This obviously is a MAJOR issue given Shakira and Piqué are still battling over custody of their kids.

Photos obtained by Spanish program “El Gordo y La Flaca” show the fútbol player passing the soccer ball with his sons while Clara is present.

However, the woman in the photos could be Piqué’s mother, but the program insists it’s Clara.

According to “El Gordo y La Flaca,” there are suggestions that Clara is living with Piqué in his home in Cendanya.

The images were captured very close to their second residence, a house which Shakira and the soccer player were seen together in many times.

As previously mentioned, the former couple is still engulfed in a bitter custody battle.

Piqué is adamant about keeping the children in Barcelona while the Colombian native wants to move them to Miami with her.

Shakira has a home in the Florida city, and the move would allow her to continue her musical career.

While Piqué has moved on, Shakira on the other hand has kept quiet… on purpose.

“It’s hard to talk about it, especially because I’m still going through it, and because I’m in the public eye and because our separation is not like a regular separation,” Shakira said. “And so it’s been tough not only for me, but also for my kids.”

The “Waka Waka” singer said the paparazzi have been camping outside of her home since news of their split and Piqué’s alleged affair made headlines.

She’s been working hard to “protect” her children amid all the hustle and bustle surrounding her life.
