The clip began with a whiteboard showing 'Intro To Gabrielle Union 101' before displaying the Black-American actress delightfully welcoming viewers to her imaginary class. She was captured in what looked like a classroom where she introduced her course as a "syllabus" while telling the students to follow along.

Union was casually dressed in a black ensemble, including slacks and a long-sleeved blouse alongside loafers. At the same time, her hair piled up and expertly woven downwards. After introducing the syllabus, she referred back to the whiteboard where 'Don't Mess With My' was penned, leading her to list the things in her life never to be messed with.

The first item the 49-year-old wrote on the board was "My money" alongside two dollar signs, followed by "My time and lastly, "My family," which came with a gold star for the student that mentioned it.

Upon her inclusion of her family to the list, an adorable picture of them pooped up comprising herself, her husband, Dwayne Wade, her stepdaughter, Zaya Wade, and her baby girl Kaavia. In conclusion, she said, "Okay. And that is intro to Gabrielle Union 101," before looking seriously at the camera, flipping her marker, and then taking her leave.

It has been pretty evident that the "Think Like a Man" actress is always about her family, especially her kids, whom she supports wholeheartedly. This brings to mind her past interview, which The Blast reported, about her transgender step-daughter Zaya in relation to her homophobic role of Inez French in the drama production "The Inspection."

It is worth knowing that Inez is a mother who fails to accept her son, Ellis French as gay, which is very different from Union's reaction to her daughter coming out as transgender in February 2020.

During the conversation, Union revealed that she did not find any similarities between herself and Inez at first. However, Elegance Bratton, the movie's director, urged her to take the role. And with the director's help, she was able to find her "common space" with the character and the "darkness" necessary for the part.

She also mentioned, "It's not going to manifest itself in the same way, but when you are centering an opposer's idea of who you need to be to be considered worthy of all the things, everybody is on the chopping block." Portraying a homophobic character did not stop the "Breaking In" star from expressing her disgust with homophobes as she regarded them as "trash."

She also stated, "Google is free, and I'm not doing free labor for you to figure out how to love your kid." As someone who loves and embraces her child's gender, her distaste may be warranted. In the movie, Ellis joined the marines after Inez disowned him, which Union was able to relate to but would never do to her kids. She declared:

"I'm never going to reject my child. My child, none of my children, are disposable. But I get the deep desire to be seen as worthy, and anything that threatens that can go, and for some people, that includes children."

The Union-Wades Get Inspiration From Magic Johnson For Trans Daughter

Being a parent with a transgender child was initially not something Union could do on her own. She reached out to people for resources and even got inspired by the basketball legend Earvin' Magic' Johnson.

The Blast shared that Magic, who has three kids; one is gay, revealed in an interview ahead of his docuseries "They Call Me Magic," how supporting his gay son inspired the movie star and her husband.

After his son, EJ publicly came out in 2013, he and his wife, Cookie, never abandoned him as they were the type to always "try to do the right thing and do the thing we were supposed to do." This motivated "Dwayne and Gabs," who spoke about it during the premiere of Magic's docuseries, revealing that they were inspired to do what was right by their daughter.
