It’s a well-known fact Taylor Swift has a long list of A-list celebrity friends!
Many of those pals have crossed a certain threshold in the pop star’s life: the recording studio! It may be a well-known fact for the most seasoned of ‘Swifties’ that their girl has brought in some famous names into the studio, whether it be as duet partners, producers, or songwriters.
Now that the “Midnights” era will officially be in full swing on Friday, October 21st, fans will be finding out more about those notable identities who helped make Swift’s tenth album the future classic it’s surely destined to be.
The Blast has kept a close eye on “Midnights” related news since the LP was announced on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards in August. Almost two months later, Swifties have learned the 32-year-old superstar had brought back her friend and longtime producer, Jack Antonoff, to be at the helm in the recording studio as the album’s producer!
In addition to Antonoff’s production, Swift has revealed a certain fellow pop princess and Antonoff collaborator will be featured on one of “Midnights” tracks.
She revealed in her popular TikTok series, “Midnights Mayhem With Me,” that Lana Del Rey will be the featured collaborator on the track “Snow On The Beach.”
Earlier today, another famous name was revealed to have played a role in the making of “Midnights.”
Read on to find out which A-List actress and Swift bestie has two songwriting credits on the new album!
Inside Antonoff’s Collaborative History And Friendship With Swift
“Midnights” is far from the first album of Swift’s to feature her friend and Bleachers frontman in a producer role.
Antonoff, who has also produced records from Lorde and tracks from multiple pop artists including Sia and Christina Perri, began working with his pal on her blockbuster pop crossover, 2014’s “1989.”
Fans can also see him in the Disney+ documentary which chronicles the making of Swift’s landmark 2020 album, “folklore.”
Eagle-eyed Swifties caught a glimpse of Antonoff featured in one of Swift’s behind-the-scenes posts which offers a looks into “Midnights” recording process, which The Blast covered last month.
The “How Dare You Want More” singer and his pop star pal have also had several publicly covered friendship moments!
Antonoff defended Swift against Blur’s Damon Albarn’s allegations that she did not write her own songs.
According to our report covering Albarn’s comments from last winter, Albarn took issue with the concept of an artist having co-writers.
“i’ve never met damon albarn,” Antonoff tweeted at the time, “and he’s never been to my studio but apparently he knows more than the rest of us about all those songs taylor writes and brings in. herb.”
Antonoff later compared Albarn to former US President, Donald Trump.

Needless to say, there will not be a collaboration between Albarn and Swift on “Midnights,” but there will be a songwriting collab with a fellow musician!
Earlier today on Twitter, “Big Little Lies” actress and daughter of Lenny, Zoë Kravitz, began trending for a big Swiftie-related reason; she has two songwriting credits on “Midnights!”
According to a report from Gawker, the first track Kravitz had a hand in writing is “Lavender Haze.” The outlet also shared photographic evidence of the duo in the studio together!
According to Indie Wire and a number of popular culture Twitter accounts, Kravitz also has a songwriting credit on a song called “Karma.”
Kravitz has had practice with being in the recording studio before; she is a member of Lolawolf, which Gawker shared has opened for Lily Allen and Azealia Banks!
Luckily for Swifties who are jonesing to hear Kravitz’s lyrical work, there are only a few days until “Midnights” is finally released.
