Singer and actress, Camila Cabello, recently revealed why she stopped using dating apps hours after starting. The "Bam Bam" singer was previously linked with Shawn Mendes for almost three years; however, the duo parted ways late last year.
Since separating from the star, Cabello has been spotted with Austin Kevitch, the creator of the Lox Club dating app popularly known as the "Jewish Raya." They were seen two months ago having breakfast together in casual clothes with plenty of PDA on both ends.
Although she was seen with a dating app creator, Cabello recently revealed that she wasn't the biggest fan of dating apps. She expressed concern about the possibility of someone "using" her from the platform.

Camila Cabello Said She Left A Dating App After 24 Hours
Cabello just disclosed that her first attempt at dating apps did not leave her with the desire to continue. The artist joined "The Drew Barrymore Show" recently and shared some of her experiences on a recent dating app. According to Cabello, while she was sure not everyone had ulterior motives, she didn't want to be "used."
"I was on a dating app for like 24 hours; then I left," she said per E! News. "The first guy that DM'd me was like aspiring singer-songwriter from Nashville, and I was just like, I feel weird cause somebody could be using me. You don't know their intentions."
Cabello went on to identify a preferred way she enjoyed building a connection. She continued, "When you are just trying to make friends, you're gonna meet guys that are vetted by your friends, which is amazing."
Camila Cabello Was Spotted With A Dating App CEO
In August this year, Cabello was seen with Lox Club founder Kevitch displaying no small amount of public affection. The couple seemed to chat while enjoying a stroll in the photos of the duo shared by the Daily Mail.
There were also pictures showing them having a meal together at a picnic table and then pecking each other. Cabello seemed unable to get her hands fully off him and, at one point, was seen caressing Kevitch's cheek. The artist wore a blue floral sundress and a pair of sandals, while her date was dressed in a white T-shirt and a pair of shorts.
An eye witness was also at the scene, and according to the report given to E! News, they looked "happy" together and seemed to be having a great day. The source said, "They were very sweet together and looked happy. They kissed. When they left, they held hands and took a walk together. They had a nice day."
The Duo Sparked Dating Rumors In June
Before the August outing, Cabello and Kevitch were seen together in Los Angeles on a date. The photos of the duo showed the artist looking smitten and laughing while she looked up at the dating app CEO.
Both of them were dressed casually for the outing, with Kevitch in a black shirt and Khaki pants while Cabello had on a white off-shoulder top with ripped jeans. There was no PDA in sight at the time, so it's safe to say the romance between the duo was relatively new.
Cabello's romance comes less than a year after calling it quits with her longtime boyfriend, Mendes. The duo was initially linked as a couple in 2019 and went on to lead a PDA-packed romance for almost three years. They eventually ended their relationship late last year.
Camila Cabello And Shawn Mendes Broke Up
The former couple officially announced their break in November 2021 via an Instagram story. There, they revealed that despite ending the romantic part of their relationship, they would continue being "best friends" to each other. The announcement seemed to shock fans of the former couple as a month earlier; they had seemed very much in love with each other.
The post read, "Hey guys, we've decided to end our romantic relationship, but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever. We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward."
Mendes has spoken out about his mental health a number of times since their split and, in March, revealed that he wasn't the biggest fan of being alone. He canceled the second half of his tour last month, citing the need to prioritize his mental health.
