"Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness" has become a hit series for Netflix after recently debuting, but one of the stars is roaring mad about how he came off in the documentary and he wants to set the record straight.

Dr. Bhagavan Antle is one of the most interesting characters followed throughout "Tiger King" as he is somewhat of a guru of big cats at his Myrtle Beach Safari in South Carolina. Antle certainly lives an interesting lifestyle, as he enjoys living with his exotic animals along with an implied harem of women who are dedicated to working for and serving him.

"Tiger King" takes an interesting turn when one of Doc Antle's former employees/partners tells a story of a much less glamorous way of life at the Myrtle Beach Safari, including filthy living situations and sex with Antle.

On Wednesday evening Antle took to Instagram and expressed his frustrations with the Netflix series. It's unclear if he wrote the message, but after watching "Tiger King" it's not out of the question for ol' Bhagavan to refer to himself in the third person.

Showing a "family" photo of the entire Myrtle Beach Safari team, Antle wrote:

"We are very disappointed that our facility was mentioned in the new Netflix series. We can only assume it is because Doc Antle has been such a high profile wildlife personality for so many decades that his association would create more buzz. "

He added:

"It is important to understand that this series is not a documentary; it’s sensationalized entertainment with paid participants. Tiger King is the bizarre story of Joe and Carole and their feud."

Antle is very adamant in claiming his private zoo is nothing like Joe Exotic's or the other dilapitated facilities portrayed in "Tiger King."

"These characters are not representative of experts in the wildlife sector or world class facilities like ours here in Myrtle Beach.
Myrtle Beach Safari has been recognized by the state of South Carolina as one of the pre-eminent wildlife facilities in the United States. We’ve also received international accolades for the critical role we provide with our qualified, captive breeding programs and our global conservation efforts of threatened and endangered species."

Antle also lays out the guidelines his facility follows to make sure they are doing everything above-board:

"Myrtle Beach Safari adheres to all USDA guidelines, and our animals are treated with the utmost care. We have never had a USDA violation and work collaboratively with various state and federal wildlife agencies to ensure our animals receive the very best life each and every day. "

The good Doc also takes aim at rumors and accusations that he too has euthanized tigers at his facility after they become unable to turn a profit. He says nothing is farther from the truth and appears to be very passionate on the issue.

"All cubs are cared for cradle to grave the wild accusation that we would ever euthanize a cub is manufactured sensationalism. It’s a complete fabrication that A tiger looses [sic] its value at a certain age they all have a place. It’s Also illegal, immoral, and unjust."
