Neil Patrick Harris And David Burtka Celebrate Twins Harper And Gideon's 12th Birthday

Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka's twins are 12!
The proud parents took to Instagram to mark the occasion with heartfelt birthday tribute posts. Harris, 49, posted two side-by-side photos of him hugging each child captioned, "Twelve years old today. Harper and Gideon are, without question, the greatest two things that have ever happened to me. They inspire me, make me chortle, allow me to be an imperfect father, and fill me with a type of love I never knew could exist."

His sweet caption continued, "Being a parent is all-consuming, the most constantly challenging thing David and I have ever done. But so, so worth it. The are remarkable. They are my children. They are my world. I am supremely proud of who they have become, of who they are becoming, and am just so grateful to have them in my life. Plus, they’re super fun to hug…" He finished up the caption with, "Happy birthday, Gid and Harps. I love you so much, and can’t believe you’re TWELVE!! How in the whenwhat?!?"
Many of the "Uncoupled" star's Instagram followers chimed in with birthday wishes and uplifting messages. One follower commented, "Happy Birthday Harper and Gideon! I remember seeing a video of your interview with Oprah years ago and they were just teeny-tiny babies! I can’t believe how big they got!" Another added, "Words from a true parent! Happy birthday to the babies that aren’t babies anymore XOXO."
David Burtka Wrote, "I Couldn't Ask For Better Kids!"
Burtka, 47, also shared a beautiful tribute for the twins' big day with a photo captioned, "Happy 12th GOLDEN Birthday to these incredible kids! I can’t believe how fast this has all gone! I am so proud of how you are growing up." Burtka continued the caption explaining how proud he is of them writing, "You are sweet, caring, compassionate, creative and you have the best sense of humor. I am proud to be your dad and I can’t wait to see how the next 12 years evolve. I couldn’t ask for better kids!"
Burtka's followers also left birthday wishes and happy thoughts in the comment section of the post. "Ahhhh happy birthday kids that are not such kids anymore!!!!!!," one follower wrote. Another added, "Happy birthday Harper and Gideon! I hope you have a great day. I’m sure your dads are going to spoil you! ❤️?"

With Halloween right around the corner, fans of the family can't wait to see what they come up with this year. Each Halloween, the family of four go all out with themed costumes, and their social media followers are ready for this year's costume reveal. On Harris' birthday tribute post, one follower wrote, "Happy birthday cool kids!! Can't wait to see this year's Halloween spectacle!" Last Halloween, Harris posted a photo of the family on Halloween captioned, "‘Frights, Camera, Action!' This Halloween, may all your screams come true…"

The Family Recreated "Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory" in 2020
In 2020, the family did a "Willy Wonka" themed holiday and took an epic family photo to illustrate their Halloween fun. Harris captioned the snap, "Oompa, loompa, doompety doo! We’ve got a family photo for you! This year, may you invent an October 31st that is spirited, safe and scrumptious. Invention, my dear friends, is 93% perspiration, 6% electricity, 4% evaporation, and 2% butterscotch ripple. Happy Halloween from the Burtka-Harris Crew!"
