Lisa Rinna Called Out By Cancer Institute For Spreading False Information

Lisa Rinna should know by now botox’d lips, I mean loose lips sink ships.

The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star is no stranger to controversy, backlash and getting called out for the media.

In the same breath, Rinna is no stranger to causing controversy, stirring up trouble and calling out the media.

The reality TV star is now getting scolded by the American Institute for Cancer Research for comments she made about the disease on the finale of ‘RHOBH.’

Rinna recently caused a s**tstorm of drama on the show for airing secrets Kathy Hilton told her in privacy.

The housewives obviously criticized her for sharing someone else’s personal information/ stories, to which Rinna clapped back by saying she would’ve gotten cancer had she not aired Hilton’s secrets.

Kyle Richards wanted to move on from the drama and have everyone at her daughter’s wedding, but Rinna insisted she just couldn’t “take it to the grave.”

“We have to let it go now,” Richards said.

“But you can’t just sweep this under the carpet and go ‘that didn’t happen,” the “Days of our Lives” alum shot back. “I’m not gonna take it to my grave because I’ll get sick and get cancer if I didn’t express this. That’s how bad it is. To have these kind of things go on and not express them, I’ll get sick and die, because it’s that vile.”

Her ignorant statement ruffled a lot of fathers including the American Institute of Cancer Research.

A rep for the institute told TMZ that Rinna is "just using the specter of cancer as emotional blackmail to justify airing her grievance."

The rep also said her statement insinuating that stress causes cancer has no strong evidence backing it, and is in no way shape or form true and is not how cancer enters the body.

Wherever Rinna is getting her information is not based on reputable research.

To conclude, the Institute told the outlet, Rinna “has taken a popular (but likely false) concept" and blasted it out to the masses as a way to rationalize creating drama.

Another real housewife making news regarding cancer is Teddi Mellencamp; however, she isn’t creating drama for the sake of television.

The Blast recently reported on the reality TV star’s tragic diagnosis.

The ‘RHOBH’ alum revealed on Instagram that she’s been diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma.

“Melanoma awareness update. Despite my anxiety, I listened to the doctors and went in for my 3-month skin check last week since my previous melanoma,” started out the emotional post. “Had another abnormal spot near my last one so they did a biopsy. I got the call this morning: Stage 2 melanoma,” she bravely revealed to her one million followers.

The Bravo alum continued on to reveal more of her story and what her journey from here will look like.

“Now, next Wednesday I go to an oncologist to have it cut out and come up with a game plan on next steps. Of course, this is all pending some additional testing and biopsies of other spots nearby that were taken today. Moral of this story: if a doctor says, “come in every 3 months” please go in every 3 months. I so badly wanted to blow this off. “What could happen in 3 months?” I thought. Apparently a lot.”
