Meghan King is a year older!

The reality star who has had quite the year — given her short-lived marriage to her third husband, Cuffe Biden Owens — turned 38 years old on October 10. For her big day, the "Real Housewives of Orange County" star opened up about her decision to go under the knife for her recent boob job and nose job.

Meghan King Celebrates 38th Birthday!

On her special day, King took to her Instagram to share a carousel of photos, many of which included recovery and post-op photos from her recent nose surgery. The first frame in the slideshow showed the birthday girl at the hospital, wearing a hospital top for what looked like a plastic surgery consultation.

King looked joyful as she took the selfie in the hospital room. In the following slide, she posed with Dr. Niccole of CosmetiCare and subsequent uploads, depicting her nose job journey. In one video, King was seen on the hospital bed shortly after undergoing her nose construction surgery.

She documented the recovery process in subsequent slides before unveiling her newly improved look in the final frame of the carousel. The accompanying caption read, "I did it for me, and I feel good. Happy 38, MK. (Blog link in bio to read the “why’s” behind my decision). Praise to Dr. Niccole and the team at @cosmeticare_ for my subtle but profound transformation."

In a blog post titled "A Mom’s Metamorphosis," King detailed her reason for going under the knife. She revealed that she had her first plastic surgery after her first marriage to Brad McDill failed when she was just 27.

"Ten years ago, I got implants," she recalled. "I had just gotten divorced from my first husband and sold my engagement ring for $5,000 (or something like that), and since that made my bank account rise to about $7,500, I decided I could more than afford a fresh new chest for $5k-ish. I was 27, single af, and feeling hot with my new girl."

Fast forward ten years, history repeated itself with King, now 37, recently single, and having another used engagement on her hands. She explained in the essay that after increasing her breast size from a B to a DD during her first surgery, her breast size increased to a G with breastfeeding her kids.

However, after breastfeeding and working hard to regain her pre-pregnancy body, her breast returned to its original size B with some stretched skin, so she decided to have a procedure to upgrade. Luckily, Dr. Niccole of CosmetiCare was also experienced in nose jobs, so she decided to also have a "minor tweak" to the tip of her nose.

"I’m exactly five weeks post-op and have gotten the go-ahead to begin working out and resuming all normal activities again. I am thrilled with my results and would do it all over again. Happy 38, MK, you deserve it."

The Reality Star Was 'Stunned' By The Post-Surgery Swelling

This isn’t the first time the mother-of-three has publicly spoken up about her plastic surgery. Such was the case earlier this month when the Missouri native documented her post-op journey on her Instagram Stories.

As The Blast reported, King took fans along to the hospital to view the results of her surgery after weeks of being bandaged up. After the big reveal and some consultation from Dr. Niccole, which was documented on her Stories, King got candid about the swelling she experienced.

"My reaction was stunned. I wasn’t prepared for how much swelling there would be. Dr. Niccole did very little to correct, I guess, my nose, and so literally when he took off that bandage, my nose was wider than it was originally," she explained. “"And guys, I had a vasovagal reaction. If you don’t know what that is, look it up. I puked."

Luckily, the swelling only lasted a couple of hours, and she proudly flaunted her new nose while joking that her former nose looked like Squidward's from "SpongeBob SquarePants."
