Bebe Rexha knew the shock factor would work today. The 30-year-old singer who recently made headlines for saying that a friend of a friend of hers died from coronavirus is now fighting every which way she can to get people to take the virus seriously.
COVID-19 made headlines on Friday for reaching a global death toll of 10,000. The figure has since shot up to 14,000. Millions around the world may be sharing their #quarantine snaps on social media, but for many health experts, social distancing isn't being taken seriously – if you're part of the people still socially mingling it's time to stop. Bebe was out to make that happen on Sunday.

Bebe's photo was an eye-catching one, but the nudity wasn't sending out provocation. If anything, the snapshot of the blonde posing nude with a sign covering her chest was a power one ‒ the white piece of paper protecting the "Say My Name" singer read:
IStayHomeFor
My Grandma
My Friends
My Family
My Fans."
Bebe posed with what appeared to be a makeup-free face, her hair swept back with clips, plus nothing but discreet earrings for accessories. The snap was geo-tagged with a Los Angeles, California geo-tag, where a city-wide lock-down is in place.

Bebe took to her caption for more, also mentioning fellow music stars including superstar Demi Lovato and rising country singer Kelsea Ballerini.
"Yes I was naked. Now that I have your attention please keep your booty at home. Thanks @ddlovato and @annemarie for the #IstayHomefor challenge. I nominate @tinashenow @kelseaballerini @charlidamelio and @wilfordlenov !!!!" she wrote.
The move follows the rising wave of Instagram challenges celebrities have been undergoing in the coronavirus right effort. Britney Spears accepted the #DoYourPartChallenge recently after sister Jamie Lynn tagged her – both are donating to fans needing diapers, wipes, or food.

Bebe's update definitely didn't go unnoticed. Comments and likes came in fast, with the latter sitting at over 125,000 by the time the post was just 30 minutes old.
Responses came pouring in.
"WE YOUR FANS ARE GRATEFUL FOR YOU STAYING AT HOME FOR US ❤️," one user wrote.
"You're an inspiration," another said.
Of course, comments did come in from those appearing not to take the update seriously – early responses did see some users asking the star to move her sign – but for the most part, responses gaining likes were backing Bebe's message.

Bebe made headlines last week for taking to Twitter to state that a friend of a friend had died from the deadly respiratory virus.
This is NOT A JOKE. A friend of a friend just died of corona at the age of 45," she wrote. "STAY INSIDE YOUR F---IN HOUSE AND DO YOUR CIVIC DUTY. PLEASE," Rexha added.
A separate Tweet read:
"The US government should put a stop to rent payments, mortgage payments and utility payments at least until the corona virus is under control. Millions of Americans are worried about keeping their jobs and their homes instead of staying safe. @realDonaldTrump."
Bebe has 10.3 million Instagram followers.
