'Tiger King' Star Joe Exotic Says He Can't Watch Netflix Series in Jail

As millions are still under stay-at-home orders while trying to flatten the curve of the coronavirus, many have no doubt turned to Netflix's newest binge-worthy obsession, "Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness."
"Tiger King" follows around the rise and fall of big cat breeder and zoo owner, Joe Exotic, as his feud with a rival cat competitor landed him in jail with serious charges. As perhaps the biggest bit of irony, that watching one episode of the show will explain, Joe Exotic is not able to see himself finally get a huge break on TV.
57-year-old Joe Exotic is currently serving a 22-year sentence at Grady County Jail in Chickasha, OK for his part in a murder-for-hire plot, as well as several federal wildlife violations.
Without giving away too many of the details, after years of torment, aggressive videos and finally a lawsuit that ended up costing th eccentric zoo owner $1 million ... Exotic was caught trying to pay for the murder of Carole Baskin, the owner of Big Cat Rescue in Citrus Park, Florida.
Unfortunately, Joe Exotic won't be able to watch himself on the small screen, which for anyone who has seen the show, is a gigantic blow to the convicted criminal. Exotic was basically on a quest for fame and recognition throughout the entire Netflix series, and even constantly filmed his own reality show, as well as an accompanying internet show that was waaay off the rails.
Exotic is still keeping in touch with fans via his Facebook page, and put out a message Friday as the docu-series premiered on Netflix.
"Now that the Netflix series is out, I can not watch it but if you see know what Little Bladman, his wife and the people who set me up is all about, please share this with a law firm that may help me get out of here and Justice where it belongs. People have gotten away with Murder in this industry for far to long," Exotic wrote.
Now that he's behind bars, Joe Exotic is hoping that the Netflix docu-series will lead to a vindication and Presidential pardon by Donald Trump. He is rallying for fans to take action, as Exotic feels he was set up by multiple people featured in "Tiger King," including Jeff Lowe, who ended up owning the zoo after Exotic.
The eccentric former zookeeper also recently filed a lawsuit against Lowe, as well as the federal agencies who participated in his criminal case. He also posted a long message explaining his position and believing that he was wrongly convicted. Exotic also blames the stress on the situation leading to his mother's death:
"Over 100 million people in 132 countries watched Netflix's "Tiger King" and people are wondering why I am in Jail. The reason is because I would not cop to one of their murder for Hire schemes so they punished me by druming up 18 wildlife charges to make me look bad, but the worse part is how the Federal Agents and U.S. Attorneys took part in Perjury in court to get this all done. The former Federal Wildlife Director used his Government position to create an illegal monopoly for his private non-profit orginization [sic] and do this to private owners. The lawsuit I filed for 94 million against 2 Government Agencies and 5 individuals spells it out very well. What I need right now is to reach Our dear President to pardon me and make these agents and Government employees answer to perjury amoung [sic] other things like aising [sic] in the death of my mother."
