JoJo Siwa Shares Her Gay Awakening Experience

Earlier this month, Siwa opened up about the moment she realized she was gay in a now-deleted TikTok video. She jumped on the famous trend of TikTokers doing spoken word about their life to the beat of Nicki Minaj’s "Super Freaky Girl."

In the clip titled "My Gay Awakening Story," the 19-year-old teenage icon rapped about her experience, saying, "One thing about me is that when I was 12, Demi Lovato came out with a song called "Cool for the Summer." I really, really liked it and listened to it all time. I did not know what it meant back then, but now that I'm older, I know what it means."

Continuing her life story, "The J Team" star sang, "Then a few years later Jenna Dewan went on Lip Sync Battle. She did a really great Magic Mikenumber. I pretty much watched it every day. "Little me, well, she didn't know she was gay."

Siwa explained that the realization of her sexuality didn’t come until she went out on her first date with a guy who wanted to have sex with her, and that was when it dawned on her. She confessed in the TikTok, "And I did not want to, never wanted to, grossed out by the thought of it, immediately knew, men, are not my thing. Women are my gig. Gotta go."

Jenna Dewan Reacts To The 'Dance Moms' Star's Honorable Mention

Although the "DWTS" alum has since deleted the clip, Dewan seemingly stumbled on it and decided to react to it. She posted a side-by-side clip of her watching the clip and giving a reaction on Instagram. The "Step Up" actress was seen sitting in a vehicle, wearing a white t-shirt as she bopped along to Siwa’s confession.

When it got to the part where the "Boomerang" singer talked about her Magic Mike performance, Dewan opened her mouth in shock and laughed playfully while "awwing" at the revelation. Her excitement was revealed in the accompanying caption, which read, "Aw Jojo….! I have never been more honored ??????."

The post garnered thousands of like, with many praising Dewan’s Magic Mike performance. One fan wrote, "I mean.....she's so right about that Magic Mike number. My jaw was on the floor ?."

Another comment read, "I mean. I had questions about myself after watching that! ?."

Siwa Is Loving Life With Her New Girlfriend!

The "So You Think You Can Dance" judge’s revelation about her Gay Awakening comes almost a month after she debuted her new girlfriend. As The Blast reported, Siwa revealed that she was in a relationship with content creator Avery Cyrus following her split from former girlfriend Kylie Prew.

Siwa flaunted her new love on TikTok with a heartwarming video of her and her new girlfriend enjoying a date at Chuck E. Cheese. The new lovebirds were seen kissing and getting cozy in the clip the dancer captioned, "Happiest girl."

Although Cyrus and Siwa’s romance is relatively new, it has been plagued with problems, with many fans bashing the YouTuber for flaunting her romance in her ex Prew’s face barely a month after they went their separate ways.

Since becoming an item with Cyrus, Siwa has stopped at nothing to flaunt how happy she is with the social media personality, and some fans have taken offense to it. However, Prew hasn’t expressed any feelings about her ex’s new relationship.

In fact, in August, when Prew confirmed she and Siwa had broken up, she maintained that they were still cordial with one another. "I’ve been single for almost two months, and it’s OK. It’s not deep, I promise. Everything’s fine. Not everything has to be messy and gross because it’s not, and I just want to clear the air," she told fans. "We’re both safe and happy and healthy, and that’s all that matters. And there doesn’t need to be drama because that gives everyone unwanted anxiety."
