Ariel Winter is staying behind closed doors. The "Modern Family" actress has joined the slew of celebrities following medical social distancing advice as the novel coronavirus continues to sweep the globe – COVID-19 reached a sobering milestone yesterday as 10,000 deaths were recorded worldwide.
Ariel broke her Instagram silence on Friday – the 22-year-old whose updates are usually near-daily hadn't posted in seven days. Her post was 100% about coronavirus, but it didn't hold back on reminding fans that fun can still be had at home.

Ariel's videos (seen below) were unusual. While "cleaning" was used in the sitcom star's caption, the footage itself was closer to sports territory – it was also hilarious. Ariel had been filmed in her kitchen and gearing up for some action with a baseball bat as she smashed up a giant cardboard cut-out of her own head.
Ariel was looking drop-dead gorgeous, showing off both her return to strawberry-blonde hair, plus the 30 pounds she made headlines for losing in 2019. The star rocked simple and tight black yoga pants, plus a crop top alongside a makeup-free face.

Ariel's videos were divided into two parts. Both showed the ABC star giving that cardboard cutout a big bashing, with other individuals also seen, although their faces weren't shown.
A caption from Ariel mentioned how being quarantined can make you discover both the things you despise, plus novel ideas for how to have fun – yes, all the celebs are bored.
"quarantine cleaning really unearths things you hate as well as great ideas for entertainment," Ariel wrote.
The videos managed to clock over 71,000 likes overnight.

COVID-19 is now a global pandemic, per the World Health Organization. Now confirmed in all 50 U.S. states with new cases shooting up every day, the virus has also been hitting the celebrity world.
It's been well over a week since 63-year-old "Cast Away" actor and wife Rita Wilson confirmed they were COVID-19-positive, having since been released from hospital in Australia. Also positive are NBA players Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, and Christian Wood, plus "Bond" girl Olga Kurylenko, "Game of Thrones" stars Kristofer Hivju and Indira Varma, alongside British actor Idris Elba.

The time for joking around is over. As "Younger" actress Hilary Duff dubs young millennials "-ssholes" for going out and partying, those forming that generation are begging others to practice self-distancing and quarantine.
Kylie Jenner recently took to her stories to urge others to follow U.S. Surgeon General advice and stay home. Likewise pleading with fans to wash their hands, avoid group activities, and not buy "all the soup" has been 27-year-old Miley Cyrus – the "SHE IS COMING" singer has also teamed up with Demi Lovato for the pair's "BrightMinded" Instagram series.
Even Britney Spears is promising a yoga pose a day during this "horrendous" pandemic.
