'Survivor': Nick and Wendell are Feeling the Hate After Voting Out Fan-Favorite Parvati Shallow

"Survivor: Micronesia - Fans vs. Favorites" player Parvati Shallow is considered to be one of the most skilled and manipulative players on the reality show "Survivor," in part because of her role in the Black Widow alliance, which enticed fellow player Erik Reichenbach to give up his hard-won immunity necklace, only to vote him out, a move that is considered one of the best - and worst - in "Survivor" history.

It was May 8, 2008, Day 36 in the game, and through a series of carefully orchestrated events, the four remaining women in the game - Shallow, Amanda Kimmel, Natalie Bolton, and Cirie Fields - got Reichenbach to make a move that would turn him into one of the most infamous players in "Survivor" history.

"All the women were in agreement that Erik needed to be voted out if he didn't win immunity. Because we thought that he could go on an immunity tear, and get into the final three, and Amanda, Cirie, and I wanted to go there together," Shallow told Entertainment Weekly 11 years after the event.

On Wednesday, fellow winners Wendell Holland, who won "Survivor: Ghost Island," and Nick Wilson, who won "Survivor: David vs. Goliath," voted out Shallow, sending her to Edge of Extinction, in a move that enraged longtime fans.

Survivor winner Nick Wilson - he took home the top prize in "Survivor: David vs. Goliath" - did not fare much better with fans, who were enraged, especially after Wilson had confessed earlier that Pavarti was his "Survivor" crush and he was excited to play the game with her.

They also warned Wilson that Holland would "flip" on him in an instant, and was an untrustworthy ally in the game.

Shallow was previously aligned with "Boston" Rob Mariano, the most recent player to be sent to Edge of Extinction this season. His wife, Amber Mariano, is also on Edge of Extinction.

Shallow previously placed sixth in "Survivor: Cook Islands" and was the runner-up in "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains."

She was voted one of the 25 best "Survivor" players of all time - placing behind "Boston" Rob Mariano, who took the second spot, and Sandra Diaz-Twine, who topped the list. (Interestly, on the March 18 episode, there was a double elimination, and Diaz-Twine was the other fan favorite to be sent to Edge of Extinction.)

Shallow's fans were likely so upset to see her go because of her role in getting Reichenbach to give up his immunity in the Black Widow alliance's unlikely plot.

For his part, Reichenbach had just won immunity and was certain he was going to the finals.

"It really was a runaway. I just destroyed it and I was like, 'Wow, I'm in the finals. I'm going to be at the finals!"

His fan status, however, may have been Reichenbach's downfall.

"By the end of this day, as we're on a way to Tribal, my emotional side has essentially taken over," Reichenbach said. "It became much more important that I cared about how I was perceived and how people were seeing me. I felt quite a bit of pressure. They put me in a very bad emotional place."

He had been manipulated enough, however, to hand over his immunity, opening the door for Parvati to win the game.
