The Hollywood icon graced the stage during the 2022 "Pennsylvania Conference For Women," which took place at Pennsylvania Convention Center on Thursday, per Daily Mail. The famous activist appeared to be thriving, as she vibrantly smiled while sitting on stage, wearing a tailored light grey checkered suit.
Fonda looked gorgeous in her fitted plaid blazer that was belted to hug her waistline, and donned a white t-shirt underneath the blazer. The "Barbarella" star finished off her looks by rocking light gray slacks with dark grey boots.
She had her silver hair styled down and accessorized her outfits with gold earrings and a bracelet. The conference Fonda attended is a non-profit, non-partisan, professional, and personal development event which seeks to empower women.
With more than 100 speakers comprised of high-flying women, the conference discusses important issues that affect women's lives, such as work/life balance, personal finance, health, business and entrepreneurship, and executive leadership, among other topics.
During her session, Fonda, in her true nature, didn't hesitate to make light-hearted jokes that got the crowd roaring. According to the conference's website, her best pal Lily Tomlin was added to the lineup for the day, and the duo would have "a conversation about friendship, career resilience, ageism, activism, and more."
Fonda Opened Up About Her Cancer Diagnosis On Instagram
Fonda's appearance at the 2022 "Pennsylvania Conference For Women comes a little over a month after she revealed her cancer diagnosis. The "9 to 5" actress had an intimate moment with her fans when she divulged the life-changing diagnosis in an Instagram post on September 2.
As we reported, the star shared a beautiful selfie featuring herself but accompanied the picture with a solemn caption. Opening up about her health, she wrote, "So, my dear friends, I have something personal I want to share. I've been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and have started chemo treatments."
The optimistic star further assured her fans, writing, "This is a very treatable cancer. 80% of people survive. So I feel very lucky. I'm also lucky because I have health insurance and access to the best doctors and treatments. I realize, and it's painful, that I am privileged in this. Almost every family in America has had to deal with cancer at one time or another, and far too many don't have access to the quality health care I am receiving, and this is not right."
The 84-year-old did not let her diagnosis stop her from continuing to fight for the causes she believes in, as she wrote, "We also need to be talking much more, not just cures but about causes so we can eliminate them. For example, people need to know that fossil fuels cause cancer. So do pesticides, many of which are fossil fuel-based, like mine."
She added, "I'm doing chemo for 6 months and am handling the treatments quite well, and, believe me, I will not let any of this interfere with my climate activism."
The former fashion model continued her statement, noting that "Cancer is a teacher," and she had decided to embrace and pay attention to the lessons she could learn from her experience with the disease.

The "NCIS" actress further assured that her bestie is focusing on the positive side of her prognosis. She concluded by quoting Fonda, saying, "She's like, 'So are you gonna come to my next fundraiser? Hinting, "That's her main objective."
