After Mowry announced the divorce, a fan shared a comment on the most recent post on Hardict's page, suggesting he "cheated on" the actress. The comment read, "Cory nooooo. Don't fumble Tia." This upset the actor, who replied, "Lies!"

The post was only a photo of Hardrict in a chair as he tossed a baseball in his hands. He posted the photo on October 3rd, the day before Mowry announced their divorce. She had even commented on the post, sending only the emoji of a flexed arm. The actress is yet to confirm if cheating was one of the factors that led to the divorce.

Mowry surprised fans with the news of the divorce filing on October 4th. In an Instagram post, she wrote, "I have always been honest with my fans, and today is no different. I wanted to share that Cory and I have decided to go our separate ways."

While she filed for the divorce, she noted that it wasn't "without sadness" as it was hard to end things after such a long time together. "These decisions are never easy," she said. Their divorce is a big shock to their fans, as Mowry has repeatedly gushed about their marriage publicly. As reported by Essence, she once said that their marriage wasn't easy, but it was worth it.
