Ne-Yo’s estranged wife Crystal Smith is ready to move on from the home she shares with the singer following their split.
Crystal posted a photo of looking at home brochures captioned, “House hunting” with a celebration emoji. The home she is looking at in Georgia is massive.
She is clearly ready for a fresh start as she prepares for her divorce from Ne-Yo.
Back in February, news broke that Ne-Yo and Crystal split following months of marital trouble. Crystal allegedly was over it and ready to file for divorce ASAP. The two have been married since 2016 and share two kids, Shaffer Smith Jr (born 2016) and Roman Alexander-Raj Smith (2018).
The two have been living their best lives following the split. Ne-Yo was spotted partying in Los Angeles with his close friends. He even dropped a song titled “Pinky Ring” which mentioned turning a wedding ring into a pinky ring.
Crystal didn’t let the breakup get her down and hit the road with friends. She got close with Ryan Henry from “Black Ink Crew: Chicago” inside the nightclub.
The singer spoke out since the divorce saying, “It’s not a sad thing, it’s more of a us realizing us .. long story short … I’m not going to talk bad about her, I’m not that person. There’s nothing bad to say about her. She’s a fantastic woman, she’s the mother of my children. She’s always gonna be there. I will always respect that.”
He continued, “Long story short, she’s got demons just like everyone else. Just like me. Then we realized our demons don’t mesh and until both of us get ahold of our personal demons it’s gonna be difficult for us to stay married. That’s the end of the chapter not the end of the book.”
The split hasn’t stopped Ne-Yo from showing his estranged wife love on social media. He has continued to double tap her photos on Instagram. He revealed the two are on good terms and said Crystal returned her wedding ring.
Crystal has yet to officially file for divorce.
