'Vanderpump Rules' Star Scheana Marie Reveals She Too Got Verbally Abusive Text Messages From James Kennedy

Scheana Marie opened up about the drama James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss went through on Vanderpump Rules season eight during an interview with ET Canada earlier this week.

After fans watched as Raquel read a slew of verbally abusive text messages she received from her boyfriend of four years during an episode of the show earlier this month, Scheana revealed to the outlet that she too received mean messages from James during their girls night out.

"I got the same messages," Scheana confirmed.

"I think, I'm not exaggerating, I had 47 missed calls from him that night. I had to block his number and just shut off my phone. It was insane," Scheana explained.

According to Scheana, she got plenty of hate-fueled text messages from James because he knew she was with Raquel and Raquel wasn't promptly responding to the messages and calls he was sending her way.

"She wasn't answering his texts and phone calls immediately because we were having fun, having a girls night out," Scheana shared.

As Raquel enjoyed her girls night out with the Vanderpump Rules cast members, Scheana attempted to respond to James and keep him in the loop with what they were doing.

"He knew she was with me and I had my phone. [So], I was like, 'Oh yeah, Raquel's dancing with Ariana,' 'Sorry, Raquel went to the bathroom,' like, 'Raquel's phone died.' Whatever it was, it was like I was getting all of the heat from it because I was with her," she stated.

When the host of ET Canada asked Scheana if it was she who promoted Raquel to confront James and demand he get sober on Vanderpump Rules, Scheana said her encouragement may have played a role in Raquel's decision to demand a change.

"I think that was part of it but there were a lot of those moments before that she was telling me about that just weren't captured on camera," Scheana revealed. "Those were conversations they would keep private and this season, finally, she realized, 'Well wait, we do need to have those moments on camera.' "

Looking back on the moment in which Raquel demanded James get sober, Scheana said she was extremely happy to see her friend put her foot down.

"But those tough conversations were hard for her to confront with cameras there but she knew she had to do it and I was so glad she did because that was such a good, strong, empowering moment for her to be like, 'It's either me or the booze. Pick one because you can't have both anymore,'" she noted.
