Ian Ziering is paying his ex-wife over $350,000 as an “equalization payment” in their divorce, but he will get to keep his three guns.
According to the former couple’s settlement, obtained by The Blast, Ian will shell out a tax-free sum of $362,500 which will divide their community property and assets. The agreement lays out other specifics in how the ex-couple will split their property, including Ziering keeping several guns in his collection.
In the filing, Ian will retain ownership of a Dan Wesson revolver, a Sig Sauer 229, and a Remmington Shotgun. The ‘90210’ star will also get to keep his 1960 Corvette and a timeshare in Cabo San Lucas. Interestingly, it appears Ziering owned the couple’s engagement ring BEFORE he met his former wife, so he gets to keep it. It reads, “proceeds from the sale of a diamond engagement right which he had purchased prior to the parties’ meeting and prior to the parties’ marriage.”
Ian Ziering’s Ex-Wife Getting Half Of His ‘Sharknado’ Movie Money
According to the settlement, Ian will retain residuals from his ‘90210’ days, but his ex-wife will share in the money brought in by newer projects like ‘Sharknado.’ Although, it’s unclear how much money that fine piece of cinema actually brings in each month. This will include, “All contractual rights and/or duties, including but not limited to, rights to all sequels, income, and/or residuals for movies, televisions shows, cartoons, and/or other acting/entertainment jobs resulting in any future rights completed prior to May 28, 2010 (date of marriage).”
As we reported, Ian and Erin Ziering split after over 9 years of marriage. The former couple shares two children. The good news is the duo has agreed to share joint custody of their children, and the actor will pay his ex-wife child support.
The amount of child support will be “$2,382.00 per month ($870.00 for Mia and $1,512.00 for Penna), payable one-half on the first (1st) and one-half on the 15th of each and every month commencing July 1, 2022.” The spousal support was included in the one-time payment of $362,500.
‘90210’ Star Ian Ziering & Ex-Wife Agree To No Overnights With New Significant Others
Recent reports indicate that Ian Ziering might have dipped his toes in the dating pool again. The situation is touched on in the settlement, saying, “Both parties shall refrain from having a girlfriend and/or boyfriend stay overnight in their home during their custodial time with the children until the party has been the person for at least six months.”
It continues, “During each party’s custodial time with the children, neither party shall use any alcohol, medication, and/or other substances to the point of being inebriated and/or impaired in such a manner as having slurred speech, inability to drive safely, and/or be unable to care for the children.”
The ex-couple has agreed to joint legal custody of their kids, which means “both parents shall share the right and responsibility to make decisions relating to the health, education, and welfare of each minor child, and they shall meet, confer, and agree when making the decisions set forth herein and below with neither party making or modifying any of the following decisions without the consent of the other party.”
