Hollywood star Julia Fox rose to fame as an actress with stellar performances in critically-acclaimed films like the 2019 Crime/Comedy drama "Uncut Gems." While she delivers amazing on-screen performances, Fox recently opened up on some of her struggles in the real world.

The Italian-American actress revealed she has struggled with OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) and (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) for some time now. She also spoke about how difficult it is to manage mental health disorders and her career and said smoking weed helped her OCD.

Fox recently made several headlines over her relationship with rapper Kanye West. They dated for a while until she broke up with him after noticing a "red flag." Fox has kept busy caring for her child, Valentino, stunning fans with daring looks, and filming upcoming movies.

It Is Difficult For Julia Fox

Fox opened up to fans on her mental health struggles in a TikTok video where she explained how it felt to "navigate" her career "while being neurodivergent." In the video, she revealed that ADHD and OCD were "very difficult" to manage and that she was having a hard time.

Explaining what ADHD felt like, the 32-year-old admitted that it wasn't always bad. She said she feels very productive sometimes, but it's the exact opposite the rest of the time. Fox said, "I have bouts of, like, great productivity, where I'm, like, on top of the world, and just feeling like I am invincible."

She continued, "And then I have moments of, like, deep, deep, deep, stagnant type of feeling. Like I just can't f- -king move." The actress said she was relieved to publicly open up about it, as she had "never really talked about" her mental health issues before.

Julia Fox Also Struggles With OCD

Fox also revealed that she just recently found out about her OCD in the one-minute-long clip. The "Screenshot" star explained that she had lived with it for some time but only "just realized" that it was an issue. Fox also recounted an experience with it.

She said, "I used to count the number of letters inside of words in my head, and I'd always want them to reach 10." She also revealed that she "smoked weed" to get her mind off the numbers and help her cope with the issue. As time went on, things got worse for her. When she's not smoking, she's "literally counting."

This comes after she told the New York Times in a March interview that she struggled with substance abuse for years but stopped in 2019. While smoking was her coping mechanism, it didn't help with her ADHD. She said, "The weed quiets down the OCD. But it does not help with the productivity issue with ADHD. It's just too much!"

The star became famous in 2021 after news of her relationship with Kanye West. The couple dated for a short period while the 45-year-old was concluding a divorce process with his then-wife, Kim Kardashian.

The relationship reportedly ended in January this year, after six weeks together. In an interview with ES Magazine, Fox revealed that she broke up with West after noticing "a red flag." She also revealed that the "Flashing Lights" rapper was dealing with some "unresolved issues" that she didn't want to be involved with.

At the time, she had no "emotional capacity" or "bandwidth" to deal with it as she struggled with her own mental health and caring for her child, Valentino. It was difficult to end things, but she was proud of her decision. She said, "I'm proud of myself for that. Pre-Valentino Julia would have definitely stuck it out and been there for longer."

What She's Currently Up To

After breaking up with West, the model became popular for her unique fashion choices on the red carpet. From turning heads with her "bralaclava" look at the Milan Fashion Week in Italy last month to sporting a mermaid-inspired outfit at the New York Fashion Week.

The star who has found a new interest in fashion will return to screens soon. Fox is set to star in the upcoming film, "Puppet," to be released on December 30th, 2022. She will also star as Carrie White, the hairdresser, in the upcoming documentary, "Upper Cut."
