The NFL legend took to Twitter on Thursday to reveal his intentions to help raise money for those greatly affected by the hurricane.

Brady wrote, "Happy [we] were able to head home for Sunday night, but so many people in Florida won't be able to do the same. I'll be making a donation to the Florida Disaster Fund to get things started, and I'm hoping the rest of the NFL family in our state will follow suit."

According to a Page Six report, insiders confirmed that Brady and Bundchen sheltered from Hurricane Ian separately. Bundchen reportedly stayed at a rented home as renovations are still ongoing at the mansion the couple bought on Indian Creek Island in 2020.

The seven-time Super Bowl Champ recently featured on SiriusXM's "Let's Go!" Podcast and spoke about the hurricane.

He said, "I know I've been preparing all morning and get all my stuff [that I keep] outside, try to put it inside, try to get all the stuff on the ground level up a little bit higher. I'm right here on the bay so they're talking about pretty high storm surges and it's a scary thing. I will say that it's a scary thing when it really hits your doorstep."

There have been rumors about Brady and Bundchen's marriage being on the rocks for years. However, the situation worsened after the NFL legend announced that he was rescinding his retirement less than two months after exiting the league. Shortly after, news broke that Bundchen had left their Florida home after a huge blowout.

The Victoria's Secret supermodel flew to Costa Rica and then to New York for the recent Fashion Week. Sources later confirmed to RadarOnline that she was focusing on her kids and on revamping her career, just like Brady had done.

Bundchen and Brady have been married for over 13 years and share two kids, 12-year-old Benjamin and nine-year-old Vivian. Brady also has another child, 15-year-old Jack, with his former girlfriend, Bridget Moynahan.

Gisele Bündchen Spoke About Her Concerns

During a recent interview with Elle, Bundchen briefly spoke about their marriage troubles and said she was extremely concerned about Brady's decision to end his retirement and return to the league. She said she'd shared her concerns with Brady "over and over again" to no avail.

Bundchen said, "This is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present. Ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy, too." She also accused Brady of not allocating enough time to his kids and family.

An insider had previously shared Bundchen's sentiments with RadarOnline. They said, "When Tom's had a busy day of training, he'll come home and pass out on the couch. There's a lack of effort, for sure, but what annoys Gisele more is when Tom yells at the kids for behaving badly during the time he does spend with them. She feels he should be more patient."
