Perrie Edwards Home Robbed
The Little Mix vocalist and her fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were targeted in a home invasion this week. The most shocking part is the couple was at home with their 13-month-old son when the robbers broke into their northwest England property.
Edwards, 29 called the police but the damage was done. The robbers supposedly took expensive items like jewelry and designer handbags from their exclusive homes. Now the singer and her family are said to be left feeling “terrified,” and “heartbroken”.
Edwards and Oxlade-Chamberlain live in a $3.5 million estate in Cheshire said to be among many other wealthy stars.
Perrie Edwards Friend Released A Statement
While detectives are now busying scouring through CCTV footage in hopes of finding clues leading to arrest, Edwards and her fiancé’s family friend released a statement to The Sun.
“It’s just the most violating thing — to think that someone has been all over their belongings before they even realized what was happening is so upsetting.,” they shared.
“The brazenness of doing it while they were in the house is terrifying, and obviously they’re heartbroken that a lot of valuable items which meant a great deal to them — not just financially — have been taken.”
The family is clearly shaken up but even more so, they feel as though their perfect home is now tainted. “This is their dream home and they love their life there as a family. Suddenly it feels tarnished,” the friend went on.
Cheshire Police Investigating Perrie Edwards Break-In
The singer and her footballer boyfriend are relying on the local PD to solve the case and hopefully retrieved some of their belongings mostly because they want the items of sentimental value back. The materialistic stuff isn’t a concern for the two.
The police confirmed that the break-in occurred at around 10:45 p.m. “The offenders have broken into the home stealing jewelry and handbags while the occupants were inside.” A neighbor shared their concern over this latest break-in.
“This is a very quiet street and lots of residents have very good security, so it is quite frightening these thugs still feel comfortable enough to break in — especially when people are in. It must have been terrifying.”
Perrie Edwards & Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Have Had A Hard Year
The singer and her fiancé are going through personal ups and downs this year. Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Liverpool from Arsenal in 2017 and is off on a year-long knee injury with no return talks happening.
Edwards just completed her last tour with her Little Mix group members. The girl group decided to take an “indefinite hiatus” and Edwards is supposed to be focusing on her upcoming solo project.
