Ted Cruz Claims Chrissy Teigen Is Lying About Abortion To Fit 'Pro-Choice' Political View

Ted Cruz has decided to weigh in on Chrissy Teigen’s “medically induced abortion.”

The “pro-life” senator from Texas is basically calling the “Cravings” author a liar regarding the loss of her son, Jack, at 20 weeks pregnant.

In a new clip from his podcast, “The Verdict” and posted by “The Recount” on Twitter, Cruz says Teigen was wrong in saying what she thought was a miscarriage was actually an abortion.

Both of their comments regarding the loss of a fetus midway through pregnancy come after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. Teigen is “pro-choice.”

Cruz claims the former “Sports Illustrated” model did not have an abortion because it fell under a life-of-the-mother exception.

“If there’s a medical procedure in that context it’s not an abortion. It is the law in all 50 states and it should be the law in all 50 states that doctors can intervene to save the life of a mother even if it means tragically losing the child,” he said. “she may want to characterize it as abortion in this political context, but she described it at the time as a miscarriage and it certainly sounds like that was an accurate description.”

The Blast previously reported on Teigen’s recent admission to having a life-saving abortion.

During Teigen’s appearance at “We Made That Choice,” she revealed her big mistake when telling the world, she lost their third child.

The former “Lip Sync Battle” co-host admitted that it was only recently that she realized “abortion” was the word she needed to use for the situation she was in.

“I told the world we had a miscarriage, the world agreed we had a miscarriage, all the headlines said it was a miscarriage,” she admitted.

Following her vulnerable speech at the convention, Teigen’s Twitter feed was inundated with endless disturbing and vile messages.

She shared the comments to Twitter on Friday, September 17.

Along with screenshots of the messages she tweeted, “I knew this would happen, and honestly I’ve already seen you do your worst so if this makes you feel better, great. It doesn’t make me feel worse though.”

One person wrote, “I thought we cancelled her,” while another wrote, “She’s such a drama queen.”

Many others accused her of sharing her abortion story for attention and click bait.

“She was pregnant, they had to choose between her life or the baby that was already dying so they chose her life. Click bait,” one troll commented.

“Sounds like it was a miscarriage but she wants to stay relevant. AND they’re using her story to fit their narrative. At the end of the day, idgaf,” yet another person replied.

However, the accusations of WHY she chose to save her life and abort her dying child didn’t end at staying relevant.

“She was in her drunk days when she made that decision….. the horrible s**t she has to deal with when she is sober now,” a person replied.

Many others accused her of lying and being undeserving of having children.

Teigen made sure to note where these comments came from.

“This isn’t like, the daily mail or something btw. It’s the glamour magazine comment thread! Brutal,” she wrote in a follow-up tweet.

Teigen was very transparent regarding how she felt about not realizing she had an abortion.

“I fell silent, feeling weird that I hadn’t made sense of it that way,” she said at the summit originally reported by The Hollywood Reporter.  “I became really frustrated that I didn’t, in the first place, say what it was, and I felt silly that it had taken me over a year to actually understand that we had had an abortion.”

She is currently pregnant with her and John Legend’s fourth child.
