Singer Britney Spears just mentioned Jennifer Lopez in an Instagram post shared on Sunday night and fans are anxious to see if J Lo will respond.
The "Hold Me Closer" singer, 40, again opened up on her stifling 13-year conservatorship and the abuse she claims she endured at the hands of her family for over a decade.
Britney Spears Makes New Conservatorship Allegations: Security 'Watched Me Change Naked and Shower'
In a new Instagram post, Britney made some more allegations about what she went through during her stifling conservatorship. “After 1 years of telling me no to what I wanted … it’s runed for me … but that wasn’t the worst part … the worst part was my family locking me up in that place for 4 months,” Britney began.
“I’d like to see somebody tell Jennifer Lopez to sit down 8 hours a day 7 days a week … no car, own security of 5 years telling me at my own door I can’t walk outside for 4 months … no door for privacy … and watched me change naked and shower,” she continued, seemingly alleging that her own security team was watching her in the shower.
She also clarified a previous statement about her frequent blood draws, adding, “and no a—holes not 6 gallons of blood … 6 vials of blood the small tubes but come on every f---ing week took me abruptly off me medication I was normally on and drugged me on lithium …”
'I'd Like To See A Management Team Tell Jennifer Lopez To Go Through What I Went Through'
Britney then seemed to openly wonder what would have happened if J Lo was in her position, adding, “I’d like to see a management team tell Jennifer Lopez to go through what I went through … what the f--- do you think she would do … her family would NEVER allow that.”
It seems Britney might have addressed her fans directly with her next comment, revealing that she has absolutely no desire to get back into the entertainment business.
“Psss … you say do what you want to do now … Really 14 years later after being humiliated … it’s WAY too late for that … again I’d rather stay home and s--- in my f---ing pool than join the entertainment business … the truth is a f---ing b----.”
“I’m not going to play the victim HIT ME BABY ONE MORE TIME ??????” she added. “I’m sure you advanced musicians think it’s horrible of bad but when I’m bad IM BETTER !!! F--- you !!!”

Later on Sunday night, the "Toxic" singer reposted a video of her 1998 hit song "Baby One More Time" to Instagram. She had previously shared the same video back in July 2022, leading fans to declare a "pop emergency." She included a lengthy caption in the first post and uploaded it in a second, separate Instagram post on Sunday night.
"This is me yesterday doing laundry and separating clothes 👚… " Britney wrote in the caption of the first video. She went on to say that she hasn't shared her voice in "an extremely long time" but decided to give her fans a "different version of "Baby" and wrote out a little bit of the chorus in her caption.

Britney says she's been asking for a "different version" of the song for 14 years "but as the TEAM said NO and serves me with 4 girls, my sister included, doing a 5 minute version of 4 remixed songs 🎥 to a T not even having to give effort or dance 💃🏼 … just shot it beautifully and the sound was NEW !!!"
Britney says that producers "ruined it for me, embarrassed me and made me feel like absolutely nothing🙄🙄🙄 !!!" adding, "The truth is a f---ing bitch !!!" She added, "I share this because I am aware of my love and passion to sing … and my own family made a fool of me 😔 … I’m not going to be a victim !!!"
Although fans are disappointed that Britney is hesitant to perform again, at least one fan suggested a way for her to share her talent in a way that she might be more comfortable with. "You should do an intimate concert of all your hits acoustic style!" one fan suggested. "No fanfare no big stage production just you and the music!"
Given that her new song with Sir Elton John, "Hold Me Closer," was such a success, fans hope that she might change her mind and decide to release some new music - or even a medley of her old hits acoustic style - after all!
