Johnny Depp collects Barbie dolls. Shocked? You definitely aren't the only one. He has so many that he needs an entire storage room for them.

This isn't some random obsession with collecting the dolls, though. Apparently, the collecting started when his daughter was younger and wanted to play with the dolls.

He also used the dolls to develop character voices for different roles he has had in the past.

When Depp's daughter got older, she stopped playing with the Barbie dolls.

Still, he did not want to part with the dolls. So, you may be wondering at this point just how many Barbie dolls Depp has kept over the years.

Well, he has never confirmed a specific number, but multiple sources have reported that he has dozens of the dolls.

Depp's collection does not just include Barbie dolls. Oh no. It includes celebrity dolls as well. Some of the celebrity dolls include 'Donny and Marie Osmond, Beyonce and other members of Destiny’s Child, Elvis Pressley, New Kids on the Block, and the entire cast of High School Musical.'

Sometimes, Depp even changes the doll's accessories to match the time. For example, when Lindsay Lohan was on house arrest, Depp put a house arrest ankle bracelet on his Lindsay Lohan doll.

So, Depp collects Barbie dolls and celebrity dolls. You may be wondering if any other celebrities choose to collect things, and the answer to this is YES.

Rod Stewart collects model trains. Kiefer Sutherland collects Gibson guitars. There is even a Sutherland signature Gibson guitar. The model is called the Gibson Kiefer Sutherland KS-336.

Quentin Tarantino collects television show themed board games. His favorite games in his collection are 'Dawn of the Dead' and 'Universe.' Reese Witherspoon collects antique linen. She also is a fan of 'intricate embroidery.' Brad Pitt collects metal art, specifically functional metal art pieces.

Apparently, metal art can be either 'purely decorative' or 'functional and useful.' Pitt prefers the functional and useful type of metal art. One may be left wondering if a park bench qualifies, and maybe it does.

Nicole Kidman collects Judean Coins. This just sounds expensive right off the bat. Tom Hanks collects typewriters. This seems to make sense after his role as Mr. Rogers in the 2019 film 'A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.' Hanks even took one of his typewriters on a promotional tour for the film, 'Larry Crowne.' That's dedication to one's collection.

And last but certainly not least, Angelina Jolie collects knives. I mean, can we be that surprised after some of her movie roles? I think not.

So, Depp may collect Barbie dolls, but he is not the only collector that is also a celebrity. Is his collection unique? Sure. Still, it may be up there in strangeness with some of the other collections mentioned.
