Rapper Post Malone recently announced that he had postponed the Boston stop on his Twelve Carat tour after being hospitalized for his rib injuries. The rapper shared a statement on his Instagram story and Twitter account, informing fans that he’d woken with chest pain and breathing difficulties and had to be hospitalized.

Malone’s hospitalization comes not long after he fell through a trap door at his St.Louis concert. He subsequently posted a video updating fans that he’d been given pain meds and joking about his fall. However, his manager, Dre London, later confirmed that Malone had bruised his ribs during the fall.

Malone is yet to clarify the status of the remaining 25 dates in his tour, which is scheduled to conclude on November 24th in Los Angeles. He’s also preparing for the release of the documentary about his Runaway tour, which ran from 2019 to 2020.

On Saturday morning, Malone surprised his Boston fans by announcing on his Instagram story and Twitter account that he’d postponed the night’s concert after being hospitalized. He wrote, “Boston, I love y’all so f------ much. On tour, I usually wake up around 4 o’clock PM, and today I woke up to a cracking sounds on the right side of my body.”

Malone continued, “I felt so good last night, but today it felt so different than it has before. I’m having a very difficult time breathing, and there’s like a stabbing pain whenever I breathe or move.” The singer explained that the pain wouldn’t let him give his fans the show they deserved, but he would make up for it.

He wrote, “Everyone’s tickets for tonight’s show will be valid for the reschedule that we’re planning right now. Once again, I’m so f------ sorry. I love y’all so much. I feel terrible, but I promise I’m going to make this up to you. I love you Boston, I’ll see you soon.”

He Recently Fell During A Concert

As reported by The Blast, Malone’s hospitalization comes shortly after the incident during his St. Louis concert. The “Circles” singer fell through a trap door during the concert, shocking fans. At the time, he refused to stop the show, finishing his performance. His manager, Dre London, subsequently confirmed that he’d bruised his ribs.

Malone later posted a video update on Twitter after being released from the hospital and explained what had happened during the fall. He explained that his leg fell through a “big-ass hole” and said that the fall had “winded him pretty good” and “busted his ass.”

"Talk of Shame" host Kiki Monique later posted on an Instagram reel that Malone “bit it hard when he fell through a hole in the stage.” She also said that several medics immediately rushed to help the rapper, and he soon returned to the stage. Upon his return, Malone apologized, drank a beer, and resumed his performance.

Malone’s fall during the St.Louis concert quickly went viral on Twitter and Instagram, with many fans sharing clips with different angles of the incident online. Many speculated that the “Congratulations” singer had broken some of his ribs while others sent him their well wishes.

In his video addressing the incident, Malone initially stated that he planned to “keep kicking ass on the tour” and promised to give his fans in St.Louis another performance the next time he was in the area.

Malone later joked about his fall, sharing a silly post on his Instagram to display his new fear of trap doors on stages. The artist also posted a photo of himself showing the middle finger to the spot his leg slipped through. He captioned the photo, “F U hole.”

Post Malone Hasn’t Clarified On His Remaining Tour Dates

Malone’s statement on Saturday was for only his Boston concert, so it’s unclear what will happen to his subsequent tour dates. His next concert stop is in Cleveland on Tuesday, and there are still 24 more tour dates after that. The tour is scheduled to wrap up in Los Angeles on November 24th.

Malone has also been busy with the preparations for his “Post Malone: Runaway documentary.” The documentary covers his Runaway tour, which began in 2019 and ended in 2020. It’s scheduled to premiere on August 12th on Amazon Freevee.
