It looks like rapper Big Sean and singer Jhene Aiko may be back on after a social media post that had the music world in a frenzy. This week Aiko released her latest album Chilombo and Big Sean took to Instagram to sing her praises. While the duo hasn’t officially commented on whether or not they’re back together officially after a few on-again off-again moments, this sweet social media post from the rapper may or may not be the proof that we needed.

Big Sean posted on his Instagram page saying, “CHILOMBO OUT NOW! Congrats my baby you earned this one.” Sean then also commented on Aiko’s own post about her album saying, “I love you, we all so proud! Thank you.” Adding a heart emoji as the final touch. But for some fans, this news wasn’t much of a surprise, especially after seeing that one of the songs on the album, “None Of Your Concern” features Big Sean. The song was released back in November in anticipation of the album drop.

Many fans are surprised by Sean’s comments as well as the collaboration on the album after it was confirmed in 2018 that Sean and Aiko split. The pair began dating back in 2016 after Sean split from singer Ariana Grande. They dated publicly, also releasing music together, and even showcasing their love for one another in other…artistic forms. Aiko had a huge, colorful tattoo of Big Season’s face on her body, to which she actually got covered up later on.

While the tattoo may have surprised and stunned many, the cover-up had even more people talking. This colorful dragon-inspired tattoo cover-up sparked rumors back in 2018 that the pair had split. However, Aiko tweeted out to fans saying, “i covered ALL my tats w/ a big a** Dragon w/ a Phoenix wing breathing life and light into a new galaxy. NEW ART! NO BEEF! ALL LOVE!” Yet, the coincidental timing was not lost on fans, especially when the rumors began swirling about a break-up.

While the duo went through some struggles as a couple, they each still maintained a love for the other throughout it all. Aiko publicly supported Sean after close friend Nipsey Hussle passed away. She even remained neutral about a so-called diss track “Triggered” and confirmed the track wasn’t a jab at Big Sean at all. Although we still wait for confirmation about the pair being back together officially, Sean’s Instagram post might be all the proof we need to start shipping this couple again.
