After 15 years on the show, Justin Chambers has decided to leave Grey’s Anatomy.
Dr. Alex Karev, played by Chambers, said goodbye during last night’s episode. Karev, who wasn’t present in the last few episodes, sent his fellow doctor’s letters telling them he wouldn’t be returning to his job.
Instead, he’d chosen to live with Izzie (a character played by Katherine Heigl) whom he married a few seasons back. Turns out, Izzie has been living in Kansas with her two children, and Chambers was the father.
Now that he's off the show, fans are curious about Chambers' real life and what his plans are for the future.

Chambers married his wife, Keisha, in 1993. At the time, Chambers was working as a model and Keisha, was a booking agent for models. The couple has five children; Isabella, twins Maya and Kaila, Eva, and Jackson.
Chambers discussed his marriage with Good Housekeeping, saying, “Every relationship has its ups and downs, but I’m glad I get to go through the ups and downs with her. I just feel really fortunate to have found someone who will be my partner on this journey.”

Although Chambers is only 49, his kids are all over the age of 18.
According to Chambers, “We didn't plan on having such a big family, but after our first daughter, we had twins, so it sort of jumped from one to three right away.”
Interestingly enough, Chambers is a twin as well.
"I myself am a twin, and it's supposed to skip a generation. Or so I thought,” he told Good Housekeeping.
Clearly, that wasn’t the case. But, Chambers and his wife love their big family.

Chambers' daughter, Eva, is a member of an all-girl rock band called “Pinky Pinky the Band.”
The alternative group, based in LA, has been playing together for years.
“It was more of just a creative outlet for us, and then soon enough we started to take it more seriously. People started saying we were pretty good, “Eva shared during an interview with Office.
The ladies are on a mission to keep the rock genre moving forward.
“The 'rock' genre is kind of dying right now, and there are a lot of bullshit artists around. We’re just trying to keep it going,” she explained.

Fans of Grey’s Anatomy have watched Chambers play Karev for almost 16 years. And even though he left the show, it doesn’t look like Chambers is leaving Hollywood.
During an interview with Today, he was asked whether he planned on transitioning to movies. “Yeah, I'm open. I'm just taking it one day at a time," he answered.
“For some time now, however, I have hoped to diversify my acting roles and career choices. And, as I turn 50 and am blessed with my remarkable, supportive wife and five wonderful children, now is that time," Chambers admitted.
