Kelly Rizzo, the widow of "Full House" star Bob Saget recently talked about how she handled the grieving process. After meeting online three years prior, the host and Saget tied the knot in 2018.

In February this year, the comedian was reportedly found dead in his hotel room in Florida due to what was eventually revealed to be head trauma. At the time, Saget was in the middle of his standup comedy tour and, just the day before, held a performance in Ponte Vedra Concert Hall in Florida.

During a recently concluded fundraising event in tribute to Saget, Rizzo revealed that while she was trying to move on, she had some unexpectedly bad days. The actress also said she had decided to be grateful for their time together rather than the loss.

Rizzo recently spoke about coping with the loss of her husband, Saget, who died earlier this year. The "Full House" star passed away in February in his Florida hotel room due to head trauma. The authorities deemed it an accidental death with no signs of foul play.

The actress made an appearance on the Cool Comedy Hot Cuisine: A Tribute to Bob Saget red carpet, which was held on September 21. According to the 43-year-old, she felt better on some days; however, reality came crashing down soon after.

"You can think you're doing better one moment, and then all of a sudden, you have a week where it just comes crashing down on you, and it surprises the hell out of you," she said. "You're like, 'Whoa, I thought it was doing better. Where did that come from?'"

The 43-year-old told E! News that her grief concerning the incident was "ever-changing" and came in "ebbs and flows." She revealed that despite the bad days, she was coping with her loss by "choosing to be happy" and being grateful for their time together rather than sad about the loss.

Rizzo said, "I'm choosing gratitude and being grateful for the time we had together versus feeling sad that our time was cut short."

The host also advised everyone going through a similar grieving process to understand that the entire process came in different phases. She said, "Knowing they can get to that place of feeling better, that it's going to pass. The grief was going to pass. It's gonna be like a wave. It comes in, washes over you, and then it passes, and then you feel better."

"They've showed up for me and Bob's family, his girls, and I can't imagine not having the support system. They've been everywhere," the host said.

In February this year, Saget was found dead in his hotel room in the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Orlando in, Florida. At the time the actor was on a standup comedy tour and was last seen on stage in the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall in Ponte Vedra Beach in Florida. On January 8, Saget also shared an Instagram post which ended up being his last.

The cause of the 65-year-old's death was reportedly head trauma. Saget's family revealed that, according to the authorities, the comedian had "accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it, and went to sleep."

E! News revealed that via the medical examiner's report, there was no alcohol or drugs involved in the incident. "It is most probable that the decedent suffered an unwitnessed fall backward and struck the posterior aspect of his head," the obtained report read. "A toxicology analysis did not reveal any illicit drugs or toxins. The manner of death is accident."
