"The Bachelorette" live finale aired earlier this week, and fans of the show are divided on how things were handled. Some are accusing the producers of bullying Tino Franco when they brought Aven Jones, Rachel's runner-up, on stage as he asked Rachel Recchia to "catch up" right in front of him.

Others are disappointed in the franchise as they never addressed the blackface controversy surrounding Gabby Windey's winner and fiancé, Erich Schwer. Instead, they focused on leaked text messages from his ex-girlfriend.

Former "Bachelorette" lead, Kaitlyn Bristowe, is someone who is speaking out regarding these issues as the 37-year-old posted a lengthy caption to Instagram, bashing the franchise.

Kaitlyn Bristowe was in attendance for the "Bachelorette" live finale, and the former lead has some thoughts on how the producers handled everything.

"My thoughts on the finale. Forgive me for the lengthy caption," she wrote on Instagram. "Tino messed up. I don’t believe we needed to kick him while he was down. Aven didn’t know Tino would be on stage when he came to ask Rachel out."

Rachel Recchia and Tino Franco got engaged, but after filming ended, and having to relive the entire season in the spotlight as it aired to the nation, the couple hit some bumps in the road -- including accusations of Tino cheating on Rachel.

The nation watched Rachel and Tino's cringe-worthy conversation prior to the live final, where ultimately, Rachel gave the ring back. Bachelor Nation then watched the two have yet another conversation live on stage, which, again, did not go well.

"We clearly don’t know the FULL story between Rachel and Tino, given this is still a TV show," Kaitlyn continued in her Instagram post. "So let’s just take it easy on the nasty comments and the perpetuated misogamy blaming Rachel. There are 3 sides to every story. His side, her side, and the truth. You will all be angry about the next season soon enough. (As will I). For now let’s just root for Rachel to be happy, and Tino to grow and learn from this experience. I was extremely angry over Tino because ew, cheating but I’m also protective over these women and know how hard it can be. It is a show, but with real people and real emotions."

What Happened to Addressing Erich Schwer's Blackface Controversay?

There was also controversy surrounding the other "Bachelorette" couple, Gabby Windey and Erich Schwer. Prior to the finale, an older photo of Erich from high school resurfaced -- one that shows him wearing dark makeup to make himself look like Jimi Hendrix.

The 29-year-old real estate analyst from New Jersey released an apology for his Halloween costume choice, explaining he thought it was a gesture showing love for the artist, but admits it showed ignorance.

Everyone expected Jesse Palmer to address the controversy during the "After the Finale Rose" as the franchise previously promised to "do better." However, the show decided to focus on the leaked text messages from Erich's ex-girlfriend instead of having tough conversations relating to the blackface controversy.

"The show, Erich, and Gabby, had a real opportunity to use their voice and acknowledge black face," Kaitlyn continued in her Instagram post, bashing the franchise. "I don’t think we needed to read texts from his ex, or set up a fake mansion for Zach. I think we needed to continue to evolve and show up with that many people watching. Michelle, myself, and Becca were all under the impression this would be addressed. It wasn’t and that’s not ok. Am I happy for them being happy? 10000%. I’m always rooting for love. I hope we hear more from them on this."

She continued to express her gratitude for what the franchise gave her, but is also extremely upset with how the show handled the real issue at hand. "This show has given me so much. I am so grateful, yet I still want to hold people accountable," she continued to write. "Please bachelor nation, listen to voices that need to be heard. That deserve to be heard. I don’t want to speak for Michelle, but I know she committed to being the lead with a promise of change. To brush over black face, and act as if we didn’t have time? What message does that send? Didn’t Rachel Lindsay already show us how important this is?"

The "Bachelor" franchise has not released a statement as to why they did not address the blackface controversy.
