Sylvester Stallone And Jennifer Flavin Move To Settle Their Divorce Privately

Action movie star Sylvester Stallone and wife Jennifer Flavin are working out a settlement.

Back in August, Flavin filed for divorce from her husband of over 20 years and requested in the court documents that the assets gathered during the course of the marriage be equally distributed between both parties.

However, per reports, the pair have now changed their minds about having a public divorce and requested an order of abatement from the court to pause their court proceedings. In addition, there was no prenuptial agreement in place, which many have predicted would be disastrous for Stallone's 400-million-dollar wealth.

According to TMZ, the divorce between Stallone and his ex-wife Flavin is slowly becoming finalized. The 54-year-old former model and the 76-year-old Rambo actor are presently working out the specifics of a settlement to bring an end to their over two decades long marriage, which bore three daughters named Scarlet, 20, Sistine, 24, and Sophia, 25.

Per the publication, the pair requested an order of abatement to pause all court proceedings on their divorce, opting to trash out their separation privately.

The document read in part, "The Parties agree that is in the best interests of each of them individually, and more importantly collectively as a family, to resolve all issues attendant to the dissolution of their marriage in a dignified, amicable, and private manner out-of-court."

The couple wouldn't be able to expose their dirty laundry in public due to the court case's stay, but reports have suggested that things may still get nasty even as they try to resolve their problems privately.

Per court docs acquired by TMZ, Stallone does not have a prenuptial agreement in place to safeguard his enormous $400 million wealth gotten from his movie earnings and other ventures.

In such an instance, there is no telling how the assets might be split, which implies that the "Creed" star might lose more than he might have bargained for to the Serious Skincare founder.

The court documents Flavin filed at the onset of the divorce revealed that the former model was gunning for a massive chunk of the available assets. Per Page Six, the mother of three requested that the properties garnered throughout the marriage be "equitably distributed."

She also requested to be "compensated and made whole," accusing Stallone in the filing of dissipating and misusing the proceeds from their estate prior to their split.

Following her filing of the divorce docs in August, Flavin informed People of the breakup but did not go into details about her reason.

She said at the time, "I'm sad to announce that after 25 years of marriage, I have filed for divorce from my husband, Sylvester Stallone. While we will no longer be married, I will always cherish the more than 30-year relationship that we shared, and I know we are both committed to our beautiful daughters." 

"I ask for privacy for our family as we amicably move forward," the former model added.

Stallone would later spill more about why they were no longer together in a chat with TMZ when he refuted rumors that they broke up over trivial issues.

"We just went in different directions. I have the highest respect for Jennifer," added Stallone. "I will always love her. She's an amazing woman. She's the nicest human being I've ever met."

Prior to the news of their private settlement, Stallone shared a photo of himself and his estranged wife strolling in the woods on Instagram. In a second photo, the couple could be seen beaming as they posed with their children, who were all pre-teens at the time.

In the comment section, fans gushed about the picture and speculated whether a reconciliation between the estranged partners might be forthcoming.
