Britney Spears' Latest Swimsuit Snap Sparks Psychological Panic

Fears over Britney Spears' mental health have now reached breaking point. The 38-year-old pop icon has been making headlines galore for an Instagram posting spree that's seen her post similar images in a repeated manner –including those with boyfriend Sam Asghari, there are now 12 photos of the "Toxic" singer posing in light-colored clothing against the same blush-pink backdrop.

Britney first updated her social media with concerning content last week as she spoke bizarrely in a British accent while listening to tweeting birds. The rest simply saw fears snowball for the singer whose mental breakdowns and bipolar disorder diagnosis have seen her under her father's conservatorship since 2008.

Britney's latest photo was barely different to the recent string shared as the blonde posed looking beautiful in her grandmother's bathing suit – also shared have been snaps of Britney wearing a dress she claimed was from the 1920s.

The star's fans aren't fussed about the bathing suit or who may have owned it before her. With an unprecedented rate of similar updates, Britney still recovering from a broken foot, and captions that have seen Britney unsure which image to post (then posting them all), fans are now worried.

Comments to Britney's latest post brought in plenty of gushing, but they likewise showed a fanbase expressing genuine concern. While horseback riding snaps of Britney and boyfriend Sam earlier this year had fans dubbing the star "the most authentic" she's ever looked, the vibe seems to have shifted.

"Britney, I hope ur safe," one fan wrote.

"BRITNEY GIRL WHAT IS GOING ON," another said, with over 580 users liking the comment.

"Manic state," a fan replied, with another saying: "What happen in 2007."

The 2000s were known to be a downward spiral for Britney as she shaved her head, lashed out at the paparazzi, and wound up under involuntary psychiatric hold.

Britney has also made headlines by proxy today. The star's 13-year-old son Jaden James went on Instagram Live – when a fan told him to help his mother "break free," he stated: "That's what I'm trying to do."

Jaden's formerly-secret Instagram account has now been shut down following his revealed thoughts, plus mentions of his grandfather – "bro, I was thinking the same thing," he said when a fan said "kill your grandfather." A history of restraining order and violence allegations exists with Britney's father.

Also suggested by Jaden was that Britney might quit music altogether.

Britney, meanwhile, hasn't addressed her son's headline-making. Her caption to the most recent bathing suit photo simply let fans know it wasn't edited.

"None of these photos are retouched or edited …. they are raw and real !!!!! ??????," she wrote.

Britney first sparked concern on a physical front after being photographed by the paparazzi in a medical boot last month. Since confirming her broken metatarsal as being a result of dancing, fan worries have eased on the physical front. The British accent video was red flag for some, though, but it's been the sheer number of repeat posts from the singer that have had her followers wondering if she's stable.

Britney did interrupt her repeat photos briefly, though. She posted a black-and-white photo of Iranian boyfriend Sam in the bath, also sharing details of one of her dresses, plus a few quotes.

Fans are likely wishing this beautiful, and often misunderstood star all the best. After all, it's Britney.
