Kevin Hart is perhap

s one of the very few actors that have been able to mix and match the comedy genre with action movies. He has a great relationship with bonified action start, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. That has seen the duo share the screen on multiple occasions.

Another actor, that has coincidently shared the screen with The Rock is Jason Statham. The Olimpic diver turned actor though, seems to not be as thrilled to get a chance to work with Hart.

Hart and Statham were set to begin filming a project called The Man From Toronto. The film is being described as an action-comedy. It is still set to be directed by Patrick Hughes. This man was the director of films such as "The Expendables 3". A project in which, of course, he had worked with Statham.

All of this makes the fact that Statham seemingly walked out on the project out of nowhere odder. Since he is essentially walking out on people with whom presumably he has some sort of relationship with.

Most of the signs at this point, pretty much lead us to believe that there was a money dispute or Statham just did not like the creative direction of the project. Statham not only dropped the movie, but he ended his working relationship with his agency WME.

The only two logical reasons that seem to make any sense at all are that he essentially was not ok with how the project was being handled. What is more likely though, is that he did not like the cut that his agency wanted to take for the project.

At this point, it is unclear what Sony studios is going to try and do to keep the ship afloat. There have been no reports that Kevin Hart is also leaving the project. With him, in the leading role there can still be plenty of optimism about the film doing well.

The studio has not made an official announcement as to what their next move is going to be. Will they just recast or scrap the project altogether? We will have to wait and see.

According to multiple reports, Statham is not going to have a role in the new Fast & Furious adaptation. That may be due to the fact that the studio could be looking to create a second movie for the spinoff franchise of Hobbs and Shaw in the coming years. As "The Rock" is noticeably absent from the credits of this new film as well.

With his recent split from WME essentially Statham is a free agent it is going to be interesting to see how his decisions could affect the future roles he gets.
