Kaley Cuoco's salmon and mushroom drama is far from over. The "Big Bang Theory" actress appears to have enraged fans following a recent lunch incident – Kaley gave her trusty assistant Emma the day off, with Kaley's usual salmon and vegetables lunch not receiving the usual level of attention that it does.

In short, Kaley wound up with a plateful of salmon and vegetables that included her abhorred mushrooms. Videos of the 34-year-old actress showing fans her disgust over the mushrooms "touching" her salmon also included Kaley's solution to it all. She threw the mushrooms out in an outdoor trash can.

The drama didnt end there.

Wednesday saw Kaley take to her Instagram stories for an update. The blonde seemed visibly shocked at the level of media coverage the mushrooms drama had received – the star's video came dedicated to her fans and included Emma.

"I've been informed the public is upset with me for outing my trusty assistant for accidentally ordering mushrooms lastweek," Kaley began.

"As saddened as I was for seeing a mushroom in my lunch, this does not reflect my true feelings for my wonderful asst @emmamadelineross," she continued.

Kaley's video showed her speaking into the camera and dressed in a simple gray top. #MushroomGate2020 appeared in text above the sitcom star's head as she outlined her respect for Emma.

"I would like to get to the bottom of this and be, like, a real news reporter," Kaley continued. "I want to get right to the source," she added as the camera swung to Emma.

"Emma, are you upset with me that I outed you with regards to the mushrooms?" Kaley asked, also asking Emma how she feels.

"Well, it's really great to know that there are some people supporting me in this trying time," Emma replied with a touch of sarcasm.

"Honestly, the hardest thing is that I have to eat salmon every day," she added.

Kaley's stories provided her thoughts summed-up in text. As Emma related that she has to eat Kaley's daily salmon, Kaley got a little defensive.

"Oh now @emmamadelineross is claiming to be upset she has to eat salmon every day because I do. For the record, I don't force Emma to eat salmon," Kaley wrote.

Kaley also couldn't believe that "MushroomGate" had become a thing on Twitter and Facebook. The star shared quotes from Twitter. By and large, messages seemed to see the actress slammed for, as she had stated earlier, "outing" her assitant.

Kaley's words are now in black-and-white, courtesy of Refinery29.

"Because I am extremely nice to the people that I work with, I told Emma, my trusty assistant, ‘Take the day off…just order my normal lunch,’” Kaley had said.

“I eat the same thing every day. I eat salmon and veggies, it’s my most favourite thing in the entire world. But what do I hate the most? Anyone who knows me knows that I hate mushrooms. If I see one I really lose my appetite," she continued, then showing the food on her plate.

“I picked out the lone mushrooms. I have tossed them in a trash can that’s not in my dressing room, cause if they’re in my dressing room I’ll know they’re here and I can’t. Crisis averted. Emma, I hope you’re enjoying your day off," Cuoco concluded.
