Kailyn Lowry's Nude Maternity Shoot Causes Controversy

Kailyn Lowry of Teen Mom 2 fame is not one to shy away from the spotlight. On a recent trip to Iceland, Lowry bared it all with a maternity photo shoot. Fans were suprised at how much Lowry was baring in the photo she shared on Instagram. In the photo, Lowry's baby bump is visible. In fact, all the MTV star is wearing are boots as she poses with a horse. The reaction to Lowry's photo was mixed, and it sparked some debate among her followers.

Lowry is visiting Iceland with some friends in the wake of announcing her fourth pregnancy. As she waits for the arrival of her new son, Lowry is clearly having a lot of fun. Even in her photo, Lowry is clearly feeling herself. She is embracing her body and showing off her bump. A strategically placed heart keeps the photo Instagram-friendly.

After Lowry's followers began to make comments about the photo, it was swiftly removed. It seemed that Lowry's photo sparked some debate.

Lowry has been open in the last few weeks about her relationship with the father of her child, Chris Lopez. She has another son, Lux, with Lopez. Lowry also has two other sons.

The initial comments criticized Kail for posting the photo at all. Some claimed it was not cool for her to pose nude and post it to social media, especially as a mother. Of course, there were also others who applauded Kail for posting such a natural photo of her changing body.

Another controversy took hold after Lowry posted the photo. Fellow Teen Mom 2 cast member Briana DeJesus posted three emojis of a face cry-laughing in response to the maternity photo. In response, Lowry posted, "Posting this photo didn't go as planned. #yikes but remember the time shock posted the video y'all having sex?" This is a reference to Briana's ex-boyfriend posting a video of the two being intimate.

DeJesus responded again, saying, "Go continue getting beat up by Chris . . . lol."

This is not the first time Lowry and DeJesus have sparred on social media. In fact, DeJesus dated Lowry's ex-husband, Javi Marroquin, for a brief period of time. A fight about the situation almost came to blows during a Teen Mom 2 reunion show filming that involved family members and friends. As a result, the Teen Mom 2 reunions are not filmed with the entire cast present anymore.

As far as nude maternity photo shoots go, this is not Lowry's first rodeo. She has posted several maternity photos in which she bares a lot of skin, but this was certainly the most revealing.
