Heather Rae Young Shares Touching Birthday Tribute For Her Father

Heather Rae Young is bragging about her father!

In addition to being an accomplished model, reality star, and actress, the "Selling Sunset" star is also the loving daughter of her dad — whose name has remained secret. Despite the secrecy surrounding her father's identity, Heather had no problems celebrating him in grand style when his birthday rolled around on Tuesday.

In the photo dump she uploaded to Instagram, Heather is smiling next to her dad on her wedding day. From the view of her father walking her down the aisle to meet her husband, Tarek El Moussa, at the altar to the pair sharing a father-daughter dance, the pictures are both sweet and adorable.

As it turned out, the reality star chose to use the photos from her wedding day to mark her dad's milestone to draw a comparison between him and her man. In other words, Heather used those images to signify her dad relinquishing his best friend status to Tarek. The 35-year-old explained as much in her caption, which began:

"Happy birthday to my dad, my best friend the man that I am so similar to but fought for years telling myself I wasn’t like you. You know why ;) you taught me work ethic, and to never stop achieving my goals. You are loyal, determined and have a kind heart."

Growing up with a man with those attributes made Heather realize that she wanted to "marry a man like you, who provided, protected, and put his wife and kids above anything else." Which is why she did not hesitate to say "yes" to Tarek when he proposed when she met him over two decades later — because the "Flip or Flop" star was exactly like her dad.

Heather concluded by expressing her eagerness for her father to become a grandfather to her baby boy. The sweet photos and caption tugged so much at people's heartstrings that they gave it well over 30k likes and dropped numerous comments.

The real estate agent has always leaned on her father for encouragement. Per a previous PEOPLE report, when Heather became nervous during her wedding ceremony, her dad spent five to ten minutes comforting her.

Whether or not he helped her through that moment, the February 2010 "Playmate of the Month" was glad her father could walk her down the aisle. In her words, "I know my parents want nothing more than for me to be with a man that protects me and loves me like Tarek does. Having my dad walk me down the aisle and hand me off to my husband was everything."

For anyone that follows Heather on social media, it is tradition to see her gush over her husband being her "bestie." In August, The Blast shared the "Mafia" star did it again when she shared a monochrome pic of herself in Tarek's arms, with the couple smiling and gazing into each other's eyes via her Instagram Story.

The pair rocked white outfits, with Tarek wearing a T-shirt and his wife in a halter dress that revealed her upper back for the camera. The "Malibu Horror Story" star styled her blonde hair in an updo, highlighting her dangling earrings and slender neck.

She wrote, "Miss my bestie so much @therealtarekelmoussa. I can't wait to kiss and hold you," across the loved-up image, which appeared to have been snapped during their gender reveal bash.

At the time of the bash, Heather used her Instagram Story to update fans with various photos from the event, including the "décor+details." The party held on July 24, comprised eye-catching baby-themed designs, such as a placard with two baby shoes — blue and pink.

The placard also included the event's date and a "He or She" penned under the baby shoes with "Come in and see!" beneath it. The real estate agent then unveiled the bash's venue — her father-in-law, Dominique El Moussa's backyard.

For entertainment, guests had a "little station" where people could make their best guess about the unborn child's gender. They later found out that Heather and Tarek were having a baby boy.
