Actress Maya Hawke recently revealed that she's ready to see what's next for her "Stranger Things" character, Robin Buckley, and to see her character die on the show. While Hawke admitted that more of the show's characters would die in the next season, she said the creators hate killing off their characters because they really like their actors.
Hawke also admitted that she would love to star in a spin-off with Joe Kerry's character, Steve Harrington. The actress joked that the spin-off could be their coming-of-age story and praised Kerry, saying she'd do anything with him because he's an excellent coworker.
During her Rolling Stone interview, Hawke also revealed she's never been interested in the relationships between the show's characters because their friendships are more important. Since "Stranger Things" rose to fame, Hawke's career has taken off, prompting criticism that she's a "nepotism baby."

Maya Hawke Is Ready To See What's Next For Her Character
Hawke spoke about her relationship with her character, Robin, and said she's ready to see what's next for Robin. Hawke admitted that more characters will definitely die in the next and final season of "Stranger Things" and said she wants Robin to be one of them.
The 24-year-old actress said, "I would love to die and get my hero's moment. I'd love to die with honor, as any actor would." However, Hawke admitted that death might not be near for Robin because the show's creators, the Duffer Brothers, really like their actors.
She said, "The reason that they write so beautifully for me and for everyone else is because they fall in love with their actors and their characters, and they don't want to kill them. I think that's a beautiful quality that they have, and I wouldn't wish it away."
She's Open To A Spin-off With Joe Keery
If Robin survives the show's final season, Hawke told Rolling Stone that said that she'd love to do a spin-off with Joe Kerry's character, Steve. She said the spin-off would be set in the 90s and that it could have the style of a coming-of-age story in New York, where she and Keery go clubbing and "figure their shi* out."
Hawke also praised Keery, saying, "Normally I wouldn't really be a proponent of a spin-off, but if I got to do it with Joe Keery, I would do anything." She also said, "he's so funny and wonderful and smart, and he's got great boundaries. He's an excellent coworker, and I would do anything with him."
The actress also addressed the relationship or connection between Steve and his former flame, Nancy Wheeler, whom he confessed feelings for again in Season four. She said, "I think that Robin definitely wants whatever would make Steve the happiest, which appears to certainly be Nancy."
Maya Hawke Isn't Interested In The Character's Relationships
Hawke also shared that she's never had much interest in the relationships between the show's characters because "Stranger Things" is more about friendship than romance. She explained her stance during the Rolling Stone interview.
Hawke said, "There's such an over-emphasis in media that we consume about romantic love, and it being the ultimate destination that we're all supposed to arrive at. Find this one perfect person and then everything's good and the story's over."
She continued, "Part of me would ship it way more if the story wasn't ending, but there's something about our female heroes always getting endings — which is them finding the right guy — that I'm super over. I think that the show is really wonderful in that way, it has all these beautiful friendships."
Maya Hawke's Career Is Doing Really Well
Since "Stranger Things" rose to fame and became one of the most popular Netflix series, Hawke's career as an actress and singer has taken off. She's currently starring as a co-lead with Camila Mendes in the new Netflix thriller "Do Revenge." Her second album, "Moss" is also scheduled for release on September 23rd.
During the Rolling Stone interview, Hawke also spoke about how she's handled the nepotism claims and criticism. The actress is the daughter of Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, two very famous people in their respective fields.
Hawke said, "I have no idea who I would be if I was somebody else. I feel like the only way to handle the nepotism thing — which definitely gives you massive advantages in this life — is, you will get chances for free, but the chances will not be infinite; so you have to keep working and do a good job. If you do a bad job, the chances will stop. That's my ethos."
