Monica Lewinsky has shared her thoughts about the passing of Kenneth Starr at 76.
The late prosecutor is best known as the independent counsel in the investigation that revealed then-President Bill Clinton's affair with Lewinsky, leading to his impeachment.
He most recently served on the team that defended former President Donald Trump from getting impeached in 2020. The former judge died at a Houston hospital of complications from surgery. Lewinsky's response to the news of his passing has caught the attention of fans, and they are loving her "kindness."
Fans Are Amazed By Monica Lewinsky's Gracious Statement Following Kenneth Starr's Death
Anybody who knows the history between Lewinsky and Starr knows there is no love lost between them. Aside from publicly disclosing her affair with Clinton, the late lawyer also looked into the then-president's fraudulent real estate deals through his "Whitewater" criminal investigation.
When Lewinsky spent some part of 1995 working as a White House intern, she and Clinton had a sexual dalliance in a hallway close to the Oval Office. That encounter began the ten that would occur over the next year and six months. Lewinsky went on to confide the affair to a coworker, Linda Tripp — a move that became her undoing as Tripp tape-recorded some of their conversations and subsequently took the tapes to Starr's prosecutors.
The 49-year-old was later granted immunity from prosecution, becoming the late lawyer's chief witness against Clinton, who repeatedly denied "having sexual relations" with her. With all that history between them, it did not take long for Lewinsky to react to the news of Starr's passing. The fashion designer tweeted:
"as i'm sure many can understand, my thoughts about ken starr bring up complicated feelings… but of more importance, is that i imagine it's a painful loss for those who love him."
This is a really gracious statement (that I assume you would not have bothered to volunteer had people not hounded you for a reaction). So many blue check people should take notes.

The tweet immediately caught the attention of her 1.2 million followers as they gave it over 65k likes. It also received thousands of retweets and replies which one user penned, "You're kinder than I'd be. In awe of your constant class and strength."Another fan wanted Lewinsky to provide the name of her therapist because "I am glad he's gone and don't care about his loved ones (does he even have any?), and he never did anything to me."
A third person shared their aspiration to get an "ability to muster a fraction of your grace," and a fourth noted that even though he was friends with Starr and his wife, he admired Lewinsky's beauty "both inside and out." After pointing out that the TV personality was a "better person" than most, a fifth fan tweeted, "It's not complicated at all for me. He was a terrible person, a disgrace to the legal profession, and a typical, perfectly representative right wing grifter."
Yet another supporter chimed in, "This is a really gracious statement (that I assume you would not have bothered to volunteer had people not hounded you for a reaction). So many blue check people should take notes." Someone else added that Lewinsky's tweet was a classy move because they could understand her posting something "less charitable than this."

In September 2021, The Blast reported that Lewinsky shared an update on her feelings towards Clinton during her media rounds for FX's American Crime Story series, "Impeachment: Monica Lewinsky."
The activist had previously opened up and essentially confirmed that there was a part of the show where her character shows her thong to Clinton. Lewinsky additionally claimed that this particular incident was based on actual events. During one of the media rounds, the 49-year-old divulged her nervousness at people seeing such details of her life. In her words:
"I'm nervous for people to see some of the worst moments of my life and a lot of behavior that I regret. If you remember your 20s not that long ago, it's pretty cringe-worthy,"
The former government assistant also expressed her feelings about getting an apology from Clinton. She said, "He should wanna apologize, in the same way, that I wanna apologize any chance I get to people that I've hurt and my actions have hurt." However, Lewinsky observed that the apology would be more beneficial for the former US president as it could be part of his healing process.
