Anna Kendrick Got STUCK In An Elevator, Had To Climb Through Hatch!

The high-spirited Anna Kendrick appeared to have had an entertaining experience in a failed elevator while on her way to the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival.

She documented the occurrence on her Instagram, revealing that she was stuck for several minutes in the compartment, with several other people who seemed to enjoy the experience!

The posted video began with a snap of Kendrick in the midst of those caught in the elevator, and the words "stuck in the elevator" was penned across it. It then led to the Satellite Award winner hilariously saying:

"This is why I shouldn't leave the house without at least like a little um airplane-sized bottle because you never know when you're gonna get stuck in an elevator."

She jokingly added that they had to ration their limited food supply and mentioned they were all "vibing," which she appeared to love but believed the others possibly hated. Later, a voice could be heard outside the elevator saying they had to open the hatch positioned between floors. They immediately did so, and everyone stuck in there was able to emerge.

They all had to climb a ladder to get out through the hatch causing Kendrick to humorously note, "It's a good thing I'm not wearing a short skirt today. The Lord said to me, 'Choose the long skirt, Anna.'"Upon her exit from the hatch, she said she was in love with everyone there and thanked the crew who helped them out, leading the video to end with a view of her posing with the beaming team.

In the post's caption, the 37-year-old actress wrote, "Ah, the classic "I'm behind schedule at this film festival because I had to be rescued from an elevator" excuse #TIFF22." Given the anxiety associated with being stuck in an elevator, fans took to the comments section to acknowledge how scary the experience is but also applauded Kendrick for easing the situation with her humor.

Several credited her, including a fan who called her a "rockstar," while another believed being stuck in an elevator with her sounded like "a dream come true."

The Academy Award nominee has shown now and again how amazing she is on screen and with fans; however, her love life may not be so cheery as she has had quite the relationships. Last September, The Blast reported that she spoke candidly about being in a psychologically abusive relationship while discussing the similarities between the affair and her role in the movie "Alice, Darling."

In the thriller film by Alanna Francis, Kendrick stars as a young lady trapped in an abusive relationship who becomes "an unsuspecting participant in an intervention conducted by her two closest friends, Kaniehtiio Horn and Wunmi Mosaku." When the Tony Award nominee landed the role, she had just left a relationship similar to the movie's plot, and she recognized that the narrative paralleled the instability she experienced throughout her affair.

She revealed, "I was coming out of a personal experience with emotional and psychological abuse. I think my rep sent it to me because he knew what I'd been dealing with and sent it along." Kendrick admittedly gave the abusive relationship everything she had but was hurt in the end. Fortunately, she was able to leave the toxicity and see that the problem was not from her.

Following her breakup with her ex, Kendrick moved onto a new relationship with Bill Hader, but they sadly called it quits after reportedly dating for a year or more. The Blast shared that an insider confirmed the split to ET, with the news coming two months after Hader addressed rumors of his then-girlfriend starring on his HBO show, "Barry."

He maintained that the "Into the Woods" actress would not appear in the series, and in the same month, he admitted that his children were the reason for his secretive attitude about his romantic affair.

Several months before the former couple split, an informant noted that they were "in love and happy in their relationship, and enjoying their time together." And while they dated "quietly" for a while, there was no precise date of when they went official even though they jointly starred in the 2019 production "Noelle."
