Anna Kendrick Revealed Her Past Obsession With Ryan Gosling

Anna Kendrick is definitely part of the list when talking about awkward but cute celebrity interviews. The “Pitch Perfect” actress is known for her peculiar humor and candid comments. This has landed her her fair share of awkward moments.

The actress also has a bit of a history with Twitter. The app certainly keeps Kendrick occupied, from posting sexual innuendos about fellow actors to antics by hackers. She had an incident in 2020 where her account was hacked, and some crude comments were sent out before her team could recover it.

Another incident on the app was when “The Accountant” actress dropped a sexual tweet about Ryan Gosling. She didn’t expect it to get much attention, but it certainly did. Due to this, Kendrick revealed that she didn’t plan to be in the same room with “The Notebook” actor to avoid awkward conversations.

“Pitch Perfect” star Kendrick once posted a tweet revealing her attraction to Gosling. In the tweet, she made a sexual reference about how she reacted while watching the actor’s 2012 movie, “Gangster Squad.” Due to the nature of the tweet, it received probably more attention than Kendrick expected, leading to another pressing concern.

In an interview with Nylon, the actress expressed her concern about the joke and how Gosling could react. She said, “Thank God I’ve never been in a room with him [Ryan Gosling]. I don’t feel embarrassed, though. But I’d probably feel like I’d have to address [the tweet], and I’d end up saying something to make it much, much worse.”

In a separate interview with Cosmopolitan, Kendrick talked more about these feelings. “Now, at this point, so much has been made of it. I do feel bad because I just thought of the joke,” she said. “And then I thought, ‘Well, what’s in theaters right now?’ And it was ‘Gangster Squad.’”

She added, “So, I thought I’d use Ryan Gosling as an example. I didn’t realize it would become such a thing, and now I’m dreading being in the same room with him and going, ‘Congratulations with your baby.’” She also revealed that she hoped Gosling had a healthy sense of humor and wasn’t offended by the joke.

Kendrick’s Twitter account was hacked in late 2020 for a brief period. According to The Hollywood Reporter, from 5:26 p.m, several offensive tweets were sent out via her page to the confusion of her 7.2 million followers. Comments like “shoutout to my n** James bro” and “funky in this bih n**” were included in the thirty tweets sent out.

The website on the Twitter account was also changed to “Thug.org.” It didn’t take her followers much to catch on and start posting comments about the hack. Despite the assault on her Twitter, the actress’s Instagram was left untouched.

By 5:48 p.m that same day, the tweets were removed, and Kendrick’s original website to a page on her book of personal essays, “Scrappy Little Nobody,” was replaced. Later on, her representative confirmed the hack and revealed it was handled.

Like most people, Kendrick lets loose on her social media, especially her Twitter. In an interview, the actress revealed that she didn’t care much about anyone’s opinion, and there was only so much damage she could make on Twitter.

“I don’t give a f***. Twitter is only 140 characters. There’s really not much that I could reveal, then regret later,” she said. Little did she know that those would be famous last words. Her Twitter hack in late 2020 dealt quite a scare on the actress; however, she revealed that the hacking wasn’t all bad. It apparently caused some old friends to reach out to her.

She tweeted, “Well, the fun thing about getting my Twitter briefly hacked is that people I hadn’t heard from in years reached out to me to let me know. So I guess thank you to my hacker for a little anxiety and for getting me back in touch with my high school friend James. Cheers, James.”

According to People, Kendrick is currently in a relationship besides her imagined one with Gosling. The actress is seeing “Barry” creator Bill Hader. An insider revealed that the couple started dating a while ago but managed to keep their relationship under wraps.

The source said, “Anna has been dating Bill quietly for over a year. They met years ago. She’s hosted Saturday Night Live, and they’ve done a movie together, but they got together well after the movie.”

They also claimed that the pandemic and everything going on helped keep the couple’s relationship from the public and news blogs. “They are both very private people, and with the pandemic, it was easy to keep it quiet,” the source added.
