28-year-old singer Kane Brown recently opened up about how much he loves his wife, Katelyn Brown. He surprised fans by featuring her on his third studio album, "Different Man," which was released on Friday.
During a recent appearance on Today Country Radio with host Kelleigh Bannen (via People), Brown talked about his daily struggles as a musician and how much support Katelyn had given him over the years.
Brown also opened up about struggling with his mental health as a celebrity. However, he revealed that his wife made things easier. While he released his first Ep, "Closer," in 2015, "Different Man" meant a lot to him because of the long-anticipated collab.

Kane Brown Collaborated With His Wife Katelyn Brown
The couple's collab "Thank God" was featured as the seventh song on the album. Fans were excited about the song and expressed their love for it. They were also happy to hear Blake Shelton on one of the tracks.
When asked about the collab with Katelyn, he explained that fans had wanted them to sing together for a long time. He also revealed that they had "four other" songs together but decided to put "Thank you" on the album.
Brown said, "I was like, 'Babe, you're going to be on this one, or this one or this one.' And then 'Thank God' came in and I was like, 'This is the one.' And she said the same thing." He continued, "I'm so glad I waited for this particular one to come out."
He Called It A 'Relationship Song'
The "Bury Me In Georgia" singer also said that the singer and songwriter were the "secret weapon" of the song. He said, "This song is just, like, us. I feel like it's any relationship song." Brown shared how happy he was to have a song with the person he was married to.

"It's like 'God put you in my life for a reason,'" he explained. The singer also talked about his collab with Shelton. He was also very excited to feature the TV Personality and renowned country singer on "God's Country."
Brown recalled reaching out to him and getting a callback. He said, "I sent it to him, and then within 30 minutes, he texted me back and said he's on it. Brown was also very anxious and hoped he would "find time to record it." While the singer was excited about the final product, he recalled being happier to have his wife on the album.
They Complement Each Other
The "Nobody But You" singer talked about going through tough times with the love of his life. He recalled that the COVID-19 lockdown was one of the lowest points of his life. "I was in a very dark place."
He also recalled how much his wife complements him since he deals with depression and she deals with anxiety. "we're perfect for each other," he said. Brown also said that she supported him, even when he found it hard to "do shows" and "release music."
He also found it hard to come up with lyrics and kept "wondering if any of this is ever going to stop." Asides from his worries, he had his beautiful family by his side. Brown said, "So I finally was just like, 'I've got a beautiful family.'" Brown shares two girls, Kodi Jane, eight months, and 3-year-old Kingsley Rose. He also started being thankful for all that he had.
The singer also shared that he would go outside to "look at his pool" and remember that he "never had a pool growing up as a kid." He said, "I was just like, 'I'm so grateful. Life's grand." This also inspired him to make his song "Grand" with singer Mike Posner. The star also manages to block out the trolls and negative comments on social media, and he's proud of it.

Brown once spoke with People about his interactions with social media trolls. He said, "If I have thousands of good comments, I'll see one bad comment and I'll reply to that person." This rule helps him stay positive and has recently been helpful to him.
While he talked about his mental health, it wasn't the first time he opened up about it. During another interview with Bannen last year, he talked about how difficult it was to struggle with mental health as a celebrity.
It's also hard to open up because, as an artist, he has to be "on [his] A-game 24/7." At the time, he said, "If we're out pumping gas and a fan comes up, and I'm just having one of those bad days, I have to put on a smile and there's no off time."
