'NCIS' Cast Thanked Real NCIS

NCIS is definitely a winner when it comes to ratings, throughout all the networks it shows on. In the last week alone, NCIS garnered 11.77 million viewers! That's a lot of views. There is also, reportedly, no show rising above 9 million viewers, so woah!

There's tons of reasons to tune in for NCIS, throughout all seventeen seasons. A lot of the series is based around the real-life NCIS agency. For the romance that the team members experience, for the drama of working on a large team, or perhaps even just for the actors and their beauty.

The cast of NCIS posted a heartfelt video this week, to thank the real people behind the series stories.

NCIS is slated to take part in the Paley Center Honors, for having nearly 400 episodes! With seventeen seasons, and almost 400 episodes, it's no wonder they're being asked to represent their series on the show, which airs March 15.

The Paley Fest claims to "bring you together with the talent behind your favorite TV shows," according to the website. The event offers screenings, followed by Q & A where the audience and cast members can ask questions.

This year’s event includes appearances by NCIS stars, Mark Harmon, Sean Murray, Emily Wickersham, Wilmer Valderrama, Maria Bello, Brian Dietzen, Diona Reasonover, Rocky Carroll, David McCallum, Frank Cardea, and Steven Binder.

All of these stars have appeared on the show, NCIS at some point or another. Not to mention there are many smaller guest-stars who have appeared more than once. However, at the Paley Fest, those are the stars that will be available to speak too and ask questions of. It's likely they'll have some real-life experience as the show probably works closely with the real-life agency.

On Feb 18, stars of NCIS went on Twitter to give special thanks to the "real NCIS".

“We congratulate those selected for recognition for 2019 special agents and civilians of the year,” Wilmer Valderrama said.

“All of us here are honored to have represented the agency for 17 years and nearly 400 episodes,” Emily Wickersham added.

“While we solve cases in a very limited time-frame, we constantly strive to capture the dedication, teamwork, and professionalism that NCIS stands for.

Sean Murray honored the service NCIS provides, protecting the Navy and Marine Corps. He recognizes the mission “has become increasingly complex in the face of current worldwide events.”

Mark Harmon thanked the families who also sacrifice, saying “we support you in carrying out duties for our country. With all our gratitude, thank you and we wish everyone at NCIS a very happy birthday.”

The show ran since 2003, and has highlighted the work of real-life NCIS agents, fictionalizing what needed to be protected. The civilian agency aids in criminal investigations, counterintelligence, counterterrorism, and cybersecurity.

The agency is 54 years old and has 2000 employees, and 1000 special agents in over 41 countries. The official NCIS Twitter account utilizes the success of the show to educate people on the way the real agency runs.
