Wendy Williams can't seem to refrain from making controversial statements, at least lately. In the last several weeks the daytime talk show host has managed to offend not only people in the audience, but countless others on social media.
Williams had made jokes at the expense of the Oscar award-winning actor, Joaquin Phoenix and the cleft lip that he was born with; the LGBTQ+ community and her rants about gay men wearing women's clothes; and most recently, the murder of Amie Harwick, using a 'Price is Right' line to make light of the late-therapist's fatal fall.

The backlash she's experienced has been astonishing, to say the least. After her homophobic and transphobic comments, Williams released an apology video that showed the host crying and asking for forgiveness. Many didn't buy the sincerity she was trying to display, but they let it go.
After the joke she made about Amie Harwick and the tragic murder that resulted from the Hollywood therapist falling to her death from her third-story balcony, people on social media were calling for Williams to be fired and her show canceled. Neither of those has occurred, resulting in the host continuing on her disgraceful run.
Wendy covering the murder of Drew Carey's ex-fiancé Dr. Aimee Harwick this weekend, who was pushed from a third storey window is tasteless and sociopathic. You're a nasty bastard #WendyWilliams pic.twitter.com/rzt2G1ZFX0

Well, now she's targeting Kim Kardashian West and her husband, Kanye, citing that they don't even look like they love each other. While other people she's made jokes about haven't retaliated or couldn't, Williams might have barked up the wrong tree, especially with the clout and influence Kim and Kanye have.
Their empire is worth almost one billion dollars and the couple has countless fans that support them. Regardless, Williams still thought it would be a good idea to 'poke the bear' and make another set of unfounded and completely insensitive comments, something she might ultimately regret.
#WendyWilliams You are disgusting. Drew is a wreck over the loss of his ex-fiancée and you go make some cruel joke while he’s grieving. You owe him, Amie’s family and her friends an apology. I never watched your filthy show anyway and I’m never going to now.

During one of the recent episodes of The Wendy Williams Show, the host showed a clip of the couple leaving an elevator where Kanye left Kim scrambling to carry some grocery bags before the elevator door closed. The clip has since gone viral, but Williams felt compelled to share some thoughts on the matter.
"You know I love Kim, and I love Kanye and the whole family. But, Kanye is being roasted for leaving Kim in an elevator with a whole bunch of bags. I see no romance in their relationship. Look at him," Williams shared with the audience.

"I’ve met five-year-olds who would help a woman with their bags and also push the elevator button and keep the elevator open," Williams continued. "There [Kim and Kanye] are, and the only reason, to me, that they were kissing is because it was a glass elevator and probably the cameras. Come on like, ‘let’s stage this."
Kim and Kanye have yet to comment on Williams' statements from the show, but if anyone of the people that have been the butt of her jokes will, it's definitely those two.
