Childbirth is a miracle. It’s really fascinating thing if you really sit and think about it.
A human growing another human or humans.
It’s even more fascinating when a celebrity is pregnant and either starting their family or expanding their family.
Pregnancy Is Fascinating, Especially Celebrity Pregnancy
Like, how in the world is this not classified as a creation from the aliens?!?
Alright, let’s not get too supernatural here.
For some people, pregnancy is a breeze and for others is very difficult. Sometimes it’s even impossible for a woman to get pregnant.
Thankfully in today’s technologically advanced age, there are other methods to welcome children into the world.
Many celebrities have had to resort to these alternate methods.
Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman is one of them.
Celebrities Who Have Used Surrogates To Have Children
The Australian-native has two adopted children with her ex-husband, Tom Cruise. Following her first marriage, Kidman married fellow Aussie, Keith Urban, in 2006.
She struggled with infertility for years and tried just about every fertility treatment.
The couple welcomed their first child Sunday Rose Kidman Urban in July 2008. Kidman calls Sunday her “miracle baby.”
She gave birth the au-natural way.
However, when it came to conceiving their second child, Kidman and Urban opted to use a surrogate to help carry their baby.
A surrogate is defined as, “a substitute, especially a person deputizing for another in a specific role or office.”
Surrogacy is “an arrangement, often supported by a legal agreement, whereby a woman agrees to delivery/labor for another person or people, who will become the child's parent after birth.”
Kidman’s eggs and Urban’s sperm were used to conceive their second child.

The couple welcomed another daughter, Faith Margaret Kidman Urban, via surrogate in December 2010.
In a statement, the Kidman and Urban thanked “everyone who was so supportive throughout this process, in particular our gestational carrier.”
Sarah Jessica Parker, famously known for her role as Carrie Bradshaw in “Sex and the City,” is another actress who used a surrogate to welcome more children.
Park is married to fellow actor Matthew Broderick (“Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”).
The coupled welcomed their first child, James Wilke Broderick, in 2002 that au natural way.
In 2009 Parker spoke to Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush to talk about expanding their family by double the trouble.
That year Parker and Broderick announced they were expecting twins via surrogate.

Well, you know, we’ve been trying to expand our family for a number of years and we actually have explored a variety of ways of doing so,” she said. “This was one of the things we discussed with seriousness that had real possibilities for us.”
Bush inquired, “A lot of people face disappointment in that area. (Did you have your) fair share of disappointment?”
Parker Said There Was A Fair Share Of Disappointment Before Surrogacy
“Yeah, I mean, I couldn’t pretend otherwise,” Parker admitted. “It would be a complicated. It would be odd to have made this choice if I was able to, you know, have successful pregnancies since my son’s birth.”
On June 22, 2009 Parker and Broderick welcomed twin girls.
"Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are delighted to announce the healthy arrival of their two daughters," representatives for the actors said in a statement to ABCNews.com. "Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick weighed 5 lbs, 11 oz and Tabitha Hodge Broderick weighed 6 pounds. Both Hodge and Elwell are family names on Parker's side. The babies are doing beautifully and the entire family is over the moon."
The Kardashian family is synonymous with BIG FAMILY. This year, Kris Jenner welcomed her 12th grandchild.
Kourtney Kardashian has three children with Scott Disick.
Kim Kardashian has four children with ex-husband, Kanye West.
Khloe Kardashian has two children with ex-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, and Kylie Jenner has two children with her boyfriend, Travis Scott.
Most recently, Khloe nearly broke the internet when news came out that she was expecting her second child with her cheating baby daddy.

She carried their first child, True Thompson, and gave birth in April 2008.
Khloe showed absolutely ZERO signs of being pregnant this time around, and that’s because she welcomed her baby boy via surrogate.
In July, a rep for Koko confirmed the news.
“We can confirm True will have a sibling who was conceived in November. Khloé is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing. We'd like to ask for kindness and privacy so that Khloe can focus on her family."
Khloe Welcomed Her Second Child Via Surrogate
Despite welcoming a second child together, Khloe and Tristan are NOT together.
The statement continued, “Khloe and Tristan are not back together and have not spoken since December outside of co-parenting matters. The baby was conceived via surrogate before it was revealed to Khloe and the public that Tristan was having a baby with someone else in December.”
It’s unknown why Khloe opted for a surrogate for her second child.
Her older sister, Kim, was forced to go the route of surrogacy after giving birth to her first two children due to a condition called placenta accreta.
Placenta accreta is a serious pregnancy condition that occurs when the placenta grows too deeply into the uterine wall.
Kim used two different surrogates for her third and fourth children.
