Model Paulina Porizkova is among the many famous faces paying tribute to Queen Elizabeth II after her tragic passing on Thursday, September 8.
The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.

At 1:30 PM on Thursday, The Royal Family released a statement on social media to announce that she had passed. The statement read, "The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow."
Many celebrities have taken to social media to mourn her passing, including the first Central European Sports Illustrated cover model, Paulina Porizkova.

In a candid Instagram post shared on Friday morning, the 57-year-old model wrote a touching tribute to the late monarch.
“The four ages of a woman who had to wake up every single day of her life to public scrutiny,” she wrote. “A woman, who never got to have a private life. A woman who represented a whole country and never got to take a break.”
“She was the ultimate celebrity- a person who was ‘known’ by the whole world, but whom was truly known by very few,” she continued.
“When I think about her life, it is with a mixture of respect and sadness,” she added. “96 years of putting her country above all. 96 years of duty, of tradition, of hard work, of putting herself on the back burner for the greater good.”
“Like a woman, she did it with strength, love, and commitment,” she concluded. “May she Rest In Peace- and freedom.”

"I had the extraordinary experience to be invited by Her Majesty The Queen of England to join in her box for a polo match and to meet Her," she wrote. "Formidable, stunning, elegant, and yet underneath I could sense a whisper of delicious humor. She appraised me w her cool authority and sent me on my way."
