With great sadness, the United Kingdom announced the death of its long-running queen, Queen Elizabeth Alexandra Mary II, on September 8, 2022, after reigning for 70 years and 214 days.

Her demise has caused many around the world to honor her memory, including reputable personalities like Harry Styles, who recently paused his concert to pay homage to his queen.

Harry Styles Applauds Queen Elizabeth II’s 70 Years Of Service

According to a video update from iHeartRadio’s Instagram feed, Styles acknowledged the late Queen Elizabeth II in the most adorable way ever.

Amid his concert at Madison Square, he paused to announce the “sad news” of her death while also expressing sympathy about the loss.

The English singer-songwriter urged people worldwide to join him in honoring the deceased’s memory, saying, “Join me in a round of applause for 70 years of service.”

He clapped, and the crowd joined him, cheering his thoughtful gesture. After the applause and cheers died, he appreciated his fans with the words, “Thank you, Madison Square.”

Across the clip read the note, “Harry Styles recognizes Queen Elizabeth II’s passing and 70 years of service.” At the same time, the caption read, “Harry and the crowd at @the garden recognized #QueenElizabeth.”

Styles will not be the only celeb to honor the heartbreaking passing of the Queen, as numerous tributes have been sent out since the news of her death circulated.

Hollywood Remembers Queen Elizabeth

As The Blast reported, on the fateful afternoon of September 8, around 1:30 PM ET, the monarch was pronounced dead by The Royal Family via a public statement on social media.

The release read, “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.”

In no time, social media was filled with condolences and tributes from the likes of Paris Hilton, Ozzy Osbourne, Elton John, Ciara, Melissa Rivers, and J.K. Rowling, among others.

Hilton, one of the first to grieve, called it the “end of an era” after describing the deceased as “the original girl boss,” who was one of the most inspiring women.

John opted for a longer message expressing how “deeply saddened” he was to “hear the news of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s passing.” He further sang praises for her, calling her an “inspiring presence to be around” and someone who gracefully led the country through some of its darkest moments.

The legendary singer then confessed that he would miss her dearly as she has been a “huge part” of his life from childhood till presently.

Osbourne shared nearly similar thoughts as he mourned with his country and noted “with a heavy heart” how devastating it felt thinking of England without the Queen.

Ciara did not write much but simply wished the late sovereign rested in paradise, while Rivers quoted a message from the Queen about being courageous without accepting defeat whenever life seemed hard.

On the other hand, Rowling mentioned that several might view the British people’s outpouring of “shock and grief” at the moment as odd. She then pointed out that millions felt “affection and respect for the woman who uncomplainingly filled her constitutional role for seventy years.”

The reputable author believed Her Majesty's years were pretty significant as most Britons had never known another ruler, making Queen Elizabeth “an enduring, positive symbol of Britain all over the world.”

The Late Queen Of The United Kingdom Had Health Issues Before Her Death

More details about the Queen’s health came to light following her passing, and it was revealed that her health took a turn for the worse on the morning of her death.

Earlier in the day, Buckingham Palace had released a statement that morning implying that Queen Elizabeth had undergone “further evaluation,” but the doctors were concerned about her health. She was advised to remain under medical supervision and stayed comfortable at Balmoral with her family by her side in the final hours.

Clarence House also reported those who stayed with her included Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, while Prince William was on the way. Meanwhile, the immediate family had already been notified early that morning about Her Majesty’s health decline, with many fearing the worst.

She sadly passed on several hours later. Queen Elizabeth had a series of medical issues in her final year, not long after her husband, Prince Philip’s death last year.
