Queen B, as many of her Beyhive fans refer to her, has been a household name for years ever since the star's split from her debut group Destiny's Child.

As a solo artist Beyonce soared billboard charts with 6 number one hits. From 'Irreplaceable', 'Crazy in Love' and 'Single Ladies', to 'Check On It', 'Baby Boy' and 'Perfect' featuring Ed Sheeran, Queen B has been very busy.

She even has a new group with husband Jay Z. 'The Carters' made its debut with their album 'Everything is Love,' which according to Billboard hit number 1 on the Top R&B and Hip Hop chart.

Of course all the music making hasn't distracted Beyonce from her daughter Blue Ivy who is growing at quite a fast pace. Queen B is still doing it all as a super mom and wife, so it is not surprising that she has decided to partner with Adidas to launch her own clothing line.

Just what could be the inspiration behind the stars new line and does it have anything to do with being passed over for the spot as the wealthiest female musician as named by Forbes?

Rihanna who recently acquired the title has surpassed Queen B in net worth. Her fashion umbrella 'Fenty,' has three branches offering sporty apparel, lingerie and makeup, making Rihanna a fierce mega mogul.

Her Fenty line which debuted at Fashion Week New York, just last year has been received by fans of a diverse stature and is being talked about in media circuits like crazy. The star even stepped back from producing music to interact with fans, giving hands on makeup tutorials.

Granted, Beyonce is partnering with Adidas, but Rihanna also partnered with Puma, a rival competitor long before. In fact the Blue Ivy apparel line even looks similar to Rihanna's own Fenty X Sporty collection, featuring over sized jackets, sport wear and sweaters.

Is Beyonce just trying to follow the trend of music stars turned to fashion icons? Or is she simply trying to stir up competition with Rihanna?

Either way some may feel she is a bit late since Rihanna has quite a few more years of experience and is currently leading the industry.

The world can only hope that these two brilliant stars can establish rival lines which will both excel and take over the definition of fashion world wide.

If Rihanna has indeed inspired Queen B, it definitely serves as quite the compliment to her status and accomplishments.

Both will inevitably set a precedent to young women everywhere, to be inspired and get in touch with their own entrepreneurial spirit.

Both Fenty and Ivy Park are doing extremely well and the world of fashion is eager to see future designs from both.
