Fans Want Ryan And Krissie Newman To Reconcile Following His Scary Daytona 500 Crash

Ryan Newman was involved in a scary crash at the end of the Daytona 500 on Monday night that left him hospitalized. Two days later, he was released, and his wife, Krissie Newman, shared a video of him walking out of the hospital holding the hands of his daughters.

Just four days before the race, however, Newman announced on social media that he and Krissie were separating.

“After 16 years of marriage, Krissie and I have decided to amicably separate. We will continue to jointly raise our girls while remaining friends and continuing to work together supporting Rescue Ranch. Thank you for the years of support and friendship. We ask that our daughter' privacy be respected during this time."

Now people are commenting on Krissie's post of Ryan leaving the hospital saying that the two should find a way to make their marriage work.

"Hope you guys can realize life is short and reconcile!" one person said.

"Yes I’m praying for that !!! Family is soo important and rare !!! So please Krissie work thru the problems," someone replied.

"it would be nice if they stayed family to fix the issues. It horrified me to think of another man raising my girls, it was one of things that kept my wife of 35 years together at times when so many said to divorce her. Divorce is hell on the whole family! It's never amicable," a third wrote.

Some users thought fans should stay out of their personal business, however.

"Hope they decide to do what's best for THEM and THEIR FAMILY, because it's nobody else's business or place to tell them what they should do," one said.

"Just be thankful that Ryan survived this horrific event and stay the hell out of their personal business," second wrote.

Newman's team, Roush Fenway Racing, released a statement Wednesday about Newman's status.

Roush Fenway Racing has announced that Ross Chastain will fill in for Ryan Newman starting this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS) in the No. 6 Wyndham Rewards Ford. Newman was injured in a last-lap accident while leading Monday’s Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway and has since been treated and released from Halifax Medical Center.

“First and foremost, our focus remains with Ryan and his family as he continues to recover,” said Roush Fenway president Steve Newmark. “We also want to express our sincere gratitude to all of those who have offered support and taken the time to send their thoughts and prayers to Ryan, his family and everyone at Roush Fenway Racing”.

“The NASCAR community has long prided itself on being a close-knit family,” added Newmark. “That is never more evident than during these types of moments, and we want to express our appreciation to everyone at Chip Ganassi Racing as well as Kaulig Racing for allowing Ross to fill in for Ryan in the No. 6 on such short notice.”
