Although Harry Styles is a lead actor in one of the most popular upcoming films, he still thinks he has a long way to go. He recently admitted to facing challenges in his acting career and being confused most of his time on set.
The singer and songwriter added acting to his skills with his debut role in the 2017 film “Dunkirk.” He also made an appearance in Marvel’s “The Eternals” in 2021 and will star in “My Policeman,” set to be released in October this year. Fans are most excited for his lead role in the upcoming mystery drama “Don’t Worry Darling,” to premiere on September 23, 2022.
At the Venice film festival last week, the 28-year-old spoke about how acting feels for him. He explained that music was familiar, but with acting, he has “no idea what he’s doing.”

Acting Is ‘Fun’ For Harry Styles
When asked how it felt to be an actor, Styles described it as fun. “I think it’s fun to get to play in worlds that aren’t necessarily your own. This world that is supposedly so perfect, it’s really fun to play pretend in there,” he said as per New York Post.
He also explained how great it was to see the world “through a different lens” every time he was on set. “It can help to create whichever way it goes,” he continued. “I find it really different. I think the fun part is that you never know what you’re doing in either one of them.” He loves being an actor despite how confusing it gets. “What I like about acting is I feel like I have no idea what I’m doing.”
Fans also asked how he felt about acting as a career. He said: “I feel very lucky I get to do something I love as a job. I feel like being able to explore this has made me feel even luckier.” While fans were worried that acting could interfere with his singing career, the pop star believes that acting and music are two opposite things.
He Thinks Acting Is Different From Music
The “As It Was” singer took a break from seeing fans at Madison Square Garden to show up for the “Don’t Worry Darling” premiere. He was at the festival with his co-stars Gemma Chan and Chris Pine, along with his rumored girlfriend and director of the film, Olivia Wilde.
When asked how it felt to juggle music and acting, he explained that they were two different aspects of his life. Styles said, “Personally, I find them to be kind of opposite in a lot of ways. I think making music is a really personal thing. There are aspects of acting where you’re drawing from experiences you’ve had, but for the most part, you’re pretending to play someone else. I think that’s what I find the most fun about it: playing pretend.”
He added that he was more used to being a singer. “Music I’ve done for longer,” he said. However, acting still confuses him. When asked about his time on the “Don’t Worry Darling” set, he explained that “there wasn’t too much acting,” and the scenes felt real most of the time.
Harry Styles In ‘Don’t Worry Darling’
Many fans were excited for the “Don’t Worry Darling” premiere at the international film festival. He ignored questions about his budding relationship with actress and producer Wilde. Fans also asked whether he would be working with her in the near future, to which he also didn’t respond.
As highlighted in the trailers, Styles stars in the film as “Jack,” a member of a cult-like group that works on the Victory Project. The group is led by Chris Pine’s character. Jack is also married to Florence Pugh’s character Alice, who makes things difficult by asking too many questions. She soon starts to see that something isn’t right.
Harry Styles Was Recently Declared The 'New King Of Pop'

The statement, "How the new King of Pop set the world aflame," made by the magazine, quickly caught the attention of several enraged Jackson fans, including celebrities who made sure to call out the publication for their constant need to throw out the title to any new pop music sensation.
Among the many celebrities who spoke out against the title being given to Styles were Taj Jackson, a cousin to the late popstar, and actress Yvette Nicole Brown.
Neither Styles nor the publication has made any comments regarding the title and the online commotion it caused.
