It seems Kevin Federline just can't stop talking about Britney Spears.

K-Fed was married to the princess of pop from 2004 to 2007. The former couple now shares two teenage sons: Jayden James and Sean Preston.

For the past month, Kevin has been airing a lot of dirty laundry, revealing that it's been months since Britney's two boys have seen her, as they seek to reconnect with Britney's father, Jamie Spears, who was the one to initiate her controversial 13-year conservatorship.

In a new interview with 60 Minutes Australia (via Page Six), Kevin Federline was asked directly if he felt that the conservatorship “saved” Britney’s life amid her public mental health breakdown. K-Fed replied, “One hundred percent,” adding, “I feel like he [Jamie] saved her back then.”

However, the former backup dancer said that his focus was on taking care of his two young sons, and he did not have any role in placing Britney under the lengthy conservatorship. “I wasn’t involved in any of it, so I really don’t know how the conservatorship came about,” he said. “I don’t know whose decision it was.”

“All I know is, you have a family that is worried about their daughter and trying to do whatever they can to help her,” he added.

Britney Spears was first placed under the conservatorship in February 2008 and was not freed until November 2021. K-Fed said that his sons were “so happy” for their mother when the conservatorship officially came to an end.

“Both of them were so happy for her, you know? Because it’s not always about what’s right. It’s about this is what [she] wanted, you know, [she] got,” he said, noting that both boys have decided to keep their distance from Britney.

“The boys have decided that they’re not seeing her right now,” Kevin said. “It’s been a few months since they’ve actually seen her.”

In the 60 Minutes Australia interview, Jayden appeared alongside his father although Sean Preston did not. Jayden was vocal about his concerns for his mother’s mental health and defended Jamie from Britney’s allegations of abuse during her stifling 13-year conservatorship.

“He was trying to be like any father, like, pursue his daughter’s dream of being a superstar, working and doing all these concerts and performing,” Jayden said. “But I think some people are just, like, ceasing to realize how much he cares about her.”

He also explained why he didn’t attend Britney’s wedding to Sam Asghari back in June, even though it took place right in her own backyard.

“I’m really happy for them,” he said, noting that Britney “didn’t invite the whole family, and then if it was going to be me and Preston, like, I don’t see how that situation would have ended on good terms.”

Her father, her mother Lynne Spears, her sister Jamie Lynn Spears, and her brother Bryan, were not invited to the wedding and Britney has been estranged from that part of her family since the conservatorship ended.

In a since-deleted audio recording that Britney posted on her Instagram page on Monday night, she took aim at Kevin Federline and Jayden's comments in the 60 Minutes Australia interview.

“It saddens me not one of you have valued me as a person,” Britney said in the audio recording. “You’ve witnessed how my family has been to me and that’s all you know. Like I said, I feel you all secretly like to say something’s wrong with me.”

She also fired back at what Jayden had said about her father, declaring, “Honestly, my dad needs to be in jail for the rest of his life.”

“God would not allow that to happen to me if a God existed,” she said in the recording. “I don’t believe in God anymore because of the way my children and my family have treated me. There is nothing to believe in anymore. I’m an atheist, y’all.”
