Britney Spears Asks For ‘Unconditional Love’ From Her Two Teenage Sons

The “Oops!… I Did It Again” singer, 40, was married to Kevin Federline from 2004 to 2007. They had two teenage sons together: Jayden James and Sean Preston.
In a new interview with 60 Minutes Australia, Jayden said that his grandparents were not “bad people” and said explained why he and his brother decided not to attend Britney’s June wedding.
In Monday’s audio recording, as transcribed by Page Six, Britney slammed her son’s “hateful” interview and asked her sons for their “unconditional love.”
“Jayden, as you undermine my behavior just like my whole family always has with, ‘Hope she gets better, I will pray for her’ … Pray for what?” Britney asked her son in the audio recording.
Britney Slams Jayden’s Comment That She Gets ‘Better Mentally’

Britney said that she keeps working so she can pay off her mother, Lynne Spears’ legal fees, and her house, but insinuated that Jayden’s “hateful” comments stemmed from the fact that her financial assistance would soon be coming to an end.
“Do you guys want me to get better so I can continue to give your dad $40,000 a month?” Britney asked. “Or is the reasoning behind you guys deciding to be hateful is because it’s actually over in two years and you don’t get anything?”
During the 60 Minutes Australia interview, Jayden said that he hopes his mother “[gets] better mentally.”
Britney fired back, saying she needs “unconditional love and support” from her family and not backhanded comments about her mental health.
“It saddens me not one of you have valued me as a person,” Britney said in the audio recording. “You’ve witnessed how my family has been to me and that’s all you know. Like I said, I feel you all secretly like to say something’s wrong with me.”
Britney Spears Recalls One Of Her Last Conversations With Her Son, Jayden

She also went into detail about a specific conversation she had with Jayden shortly before he and his brother decided to cut ties. According to K-Fed, the boys have decided not to see their mother for at least six months now.
“I will say it. I sat in that kitchen and looked you straight in the eyes, beautiful boy, and said, ‘How come I can’t see you guys anymore? Or just see you guys more? I look forward to seeing you guys weekly,’” she recalled. “You said, ‘Mama, oh, it’ll change.’”
“You and your brother left me in that house always two hours early. Preston would sleep. You would play the piano the whole time,” she alleged. “And if I didn’t shower you guys with gifts and have amazing food ready and play a motherf—king saint, it was still never good enough.”
Britney Spears Says Her Father, Jamie Spears, Should Be ‘In Jail For The Rest Of His Life’

Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, who started her stifling 13-year conservatorship, controlled her life before the conservatorship officially ended in November 2021. Despite the abuse Britney has alleged, Jayden actually defended his grandfather in the 60 Minutes Australia interview, saying that he just wanted the best for Britney.
“Honestly, my dad needs to be in jail for the rest of his life,” Britney said in the audio recording.
It’s interesting that Jayden is backing Jamie, considering the family was granted a three-year domestic violence restraining order against Jamie in 2019 after an alleged altercation with Sean Preston. The restraining order has prevented Jamie from contacting his grandsons over the past several years but is set to expire soon.
On Monday, Britney closed out her message by saying that all of her horrible experiences during her conservatorship and the ongoing problems with her family have caused her to rethink her religious ideas.
“God would not allow that to happen to me if a God existed,” she said in the voice memo. “I don’t believe in God anymore because of the way my children and my family have treated me. There is nothing to believe in anymore. I’m an atheist, y’all.”
